Why Am I Alone?

Why am I alone when I’ve got a family of friends?
Alone on my own without an ear to befriend,
I know I’ve got people who will listen to me,
But do they really understand what I’m saying about me?
No one to love, or a shoulder to cry on,
But I know I have to carry on and to myself be strong,
Why is it me who has to live like this?
Why is there no one I have to call my accomplice?
All I need is someone I can trust,
Instead of always relying on these feelings of empty lusts,
Why am I alone after 19 years of waiting?
This is the one question I lay awake at night contemplating…
