What Do I Do?
Life is nothin' but a clock showing my time being wasted and I'm sick of looking at it I wake up everyday, wishing I didn't wake up because I know this day is just more time on my clock being wasted I never was popular in school, no chicks looked my way instead the popular folks laughed at me; I was just another nerd Day by day, week by week-the same thing sometimes I ask myself, "Why am I alive anyway?" I never slept good, 'cuz I kept thinking about my worthless life people told me, "You look exhausted! Didn't you sleep last night?" So I took this trip to the beach as a vacation from my life Maybe it'll make me forget about it... I laid on the beach sand saw the ocean's beautiful blue color with waves waving like it was greeting me I couldn't help but feel alone it seemed like the ocean waves were the only thing on Earth that liked me enough to wave at me So I stayed laying on that spot for a whole week just me and the ocean Everybody else left the beach a week ago Pretty soon, the ocean shore washed up sand over me and covered my whole body I could barely breathe but I still just laid in that spot Then it hit me, "Do I lay in this spot 'til I die because nobody likes me and never get back to my worthless life I hate? Or do I get up from the sand and go back to the life I hate?" After a while, I was suffocating under the sand I only had a few soconds of life left now it was time to decide; What Do I Do? .......I got up from the sand and went back to my life! because even though it is a worthless, depressing life I extremely hate ...it's MY life!

A Collection of Short Stories
The Tale of the Water God He bathes in blood – lusts in sand, Hades and he walk hand in hand – and together they roam the land – looking for two lads to go man to man – so they can end up dead – away from the highlands, one six feet under the ground and one in jail for violence, No one remembers – no moment of silence, He is lord of the sea – his name is Poseidon, - Anonymous The Pauper in the Water “Most were taught to apply rhetoric to death, To believe when life was over – that nothing was left, The tale the truth – demoralization – the loot, Fools allotted – what a hoot! For those in need of dire knowledge, With information not nurtured and truth unpolished, I’m here to give it to you straight – Will all do respect – this is rather bad taste.” - Cathy Bland The Criminal Is Always Wrong. His hand reached the quicksand – no more solids to touch, The angle of his reason was extreme, He had ran out of luck, The truth was hidden but his `accidental` death was just, The scheme was elaborate and the schematics were lush, He was an addict and such – he knocked over a few convenience stores, Used the money for Old English and to screw a few whores, In his lifetime he had opened a few doors, None of them necessarily good, - but he hadn’t realized that these games were serious, He delirious but there was something about the experience, the rush of blood to his parts – feeling himself get hard, Until he got so wrapped up in the moment – let down his guard, An undercover police officer playing the part, So now from, rewinding from the end to the start, He ended up six feet under, The plunder the wonder of still sinking every time a new tide arrives, uncomfortable – sand burning his eyes, And seashells impaling his thighs, Hermit crabs pinching the weapon he used to rape, And shackles from Poseidon preventing his escape, This is a result of a life gone bad, The Poseidon really exists, The myth is just a good laugh. - The Truth |

Hmm, this was a nice battle, i enjoyed both reads so here we go :-
Faime S Quotez your verse was nice it had a nice rhythm and mood to it, it had a nice poetic feel it had some good emotion about it and precision wasn't to bad. Exact, your verse i liked also it had nice emotion and and anticipation about the piece as it go towards the end, your rhymescheme was ok and it was very well broke down, to give a verdict i will have to say i'm going to give this Exact purely on the fact that his verse was more powerful and it gripped me more, good battle. Vote on the contendor battle please. -Thomas. |
