yo... heres the deal... about 2 months ago, my shit was clear as could be... no problems what-so-ever... then i stopped recordin for about 2 months cause i got writers block... an about 2 weeks ago, i hooked everything back up to drop this verse... an i had this dense static in the background, an no matter how loud or how quiet i set the mic's volume, i distort... i have this exact same problem every 4-6 months, an i dunno what causes it... usually its cause the sample rate gets turned up, but i check that... ive tried everything from gettin new wires, to re-adjusting volume, re-setting my mixer, re-setting my soundcard... nothing seems to help any...

if anyone has any idea at all... please let me no.

thx = )

Are any of your cables laying on other cords or cables, that sometimes causes interference.
