Good Vinyls to Get
IP: 71E7 6664
What are some good ones to get when you are starting out? Also, you should make a stickied thread with suggestions for systems for beginners.

scratch vynil-fot the beat in the background to scratch to...you want a simple smooth rhythmed beat...for the actually scratch record, you need to find a beat you want to cut up....somethin with a good sample or even just a record of white noise would be good....you can scratch with anything., it just depends on your style skill level what kind of scratches you want to do ect.
mix get singles that are around the same bpm (beats per minute)...you can use any instrumental and acapella thats around the same bpm...unless your doin techno (slower acappellas sound good on fast techno beats i.e. heave ect.) anyway back to hip-hop, use records around the same bpm....i will give a tutorial on mixing/beat matching later... beat juggle this dates back to the days of kool herc...normally used to extend breaks, or break beats...you can also use any vynil with a break in the middle (break=the percussion that gets you movin), and basically you ahve two of the same records and your just extending the break...i will give a tut on how to do this later also, but now a days you usually beat juggle with a song that has a nice sample at the beggining....like ive been juggling kanye's diamonds are forver, i juggle the sample in the beggining, blendblending vynil you should use can range from bass and drum to brass and horns...basically your taking two different records to make on new track, by mixing the bass and the horns of one record with the percussion and strings of another record....i use a miles davis record and a break beat record... basically all vynil is good, depends what you want to do with it though....you want to scratch find records with samples, you want to mix, find similare bpm's (unless your techno) you want to blend get horns and bass and drum records |

for scratch. they make scratch vinyl. It's made out of a better material dat lasts longer. get oldschool music to learn how to blend. techno and ish. then build up ur arsenal from there. u can always mix on a CDJ. finding BPM for mixing is another problem... so.... What Vinyl was the question? Get what sounds good. Get something you know, or ur parents have laying in the attic. Something where u know what's gonna happen next. and ur off.
