The Inner Workings of Revenge

IP: 3374 00C5

Without them who am I?
Without her who am I?
Without them where will I go?
Without them what will I do?

It has been 10 years.
Imagine a flame scorching your organs,
singeing your heart,
and no matter what, how, when, why, it wont leave you

Through the rain the flame burns
Through the dark the flame gives light
Is it even a flame? Or is it a fire?
Or is it a fire storm?
It came from hell, no doubt,
Satan's door into my soul was unlocked.
10 years ago........

So what? I'll do the same to them.
Satan's door won't open into a hallway or closet
It will open and reveal a vast dome, or better yet, it will lead outside
Fires can spread you know.

The fire in my soul was blown by a wind 10 years ago
Spread from the door, to the heart, to the mind...
And then to the body...
From the body to the extremeties, the hands.

I was unaware my hands were already placed
Placed around the neck of the one who opened the door
I dont care who loves him, he took love from me
I hold the key to their gateways,
And I opened them when I took his life.

So now hell, the mainframe of the firestorm has new exits
From the door to the soul to the mind
To their hands, to their knives, to my heart.
But you know what?

That fire was so hot, it scorched me white.
That fire was so hot, it collapsed the door in my soul
Now I know where I am, and who I am with
Making love and playing with them under cerulean skies...

OOOOOOOOOOOOO this is good poem here. Alright i like your approach in this, The concept was nice. Uppp on the vocab. The imaginary of this piece was good, the emotion of this piece was also good. The best aspect in this poem was the concept and the approach you took. I had to re-read it to get the concept but i got it. This is a good poem no doubt.

I've had no idea you were a good poet.A beautiful poem here.
and if I'm not mistaken the flame represented anger?
And I'm sure poetry reflects on your music. So props on this.
I'll be sure to read some more of your work in the future.

Good poem OMB, don't think i ever read anything like this from you, or if you ever dropped a poem in here before, i liked the emotion in this and the emphasis on the flame/fire concept, although it is a deep piece to us as readers, to you it is somewhat of unleashing a truth in your feelings, but well done and your style is similiar to early Edgar Allen Poe works with the way it is written and how it flowed. nice job.1
