I've heard that it's mine, but i've seen no such thing. I've seen films and read books that speak of the American Dream, but it's just that - a dream. If it weren't perhaps we'd have freedom. ...perhaps perhaps we'd have equality, but they'd still be more equal than us in this dream of theres. They tell us the dream is ours - the people. But i've had no such dream. Some may dream such dreams - but not I. ...not I Part II from the proud kings of old to the kings who now hide face ashamed to announce tyranny afraid of revolution, and mutiny amongst - amongst a nation of malitia waiting in shadows for a spark a single ember to ignite a nation - a nation not under god.. but indivisible in its liberties the right to bare arms the right to speak out the right to a quick and speedy trial but they will receive no such trial so long as i am here to over see the revolution... the spark. the single light that will guide a nation. one nation. our nation. home of the brave.

This was a nice piece. The format and meter of it suggested that it would make an excellent slam styled work. I don't know if you do audio or anything, but it's something to concider because this would be very strong hearing it read aloud with all of the intended tones and vocal shifts. Very quick piece, but I felt like you have very nice wording and a strong tone that really fit the content. Uum ya, hard to really pick apart because it was so short... I'd like to see something quite a bit longer next time just so I can see your versitility. Nice job with this though. |
