i dont have a good mic yet but this is wut I got...

2.4GHz pc wit 512mb ram... u should have a fast pc with plenty of memory and atleast a 40 gig hard drive... I have 2 200 gig HDs

Audigy 2 Platinum sound card. It has every connection you will ever need.

Acid Pro... some people prefer pro tools, but it doesn't make a difference. Also a lot of the people in this forum use fruity loops or cool edit.... get acid.

Sound forge studio 6. This is a great recording and wav editing program.

... i'm still workin on it, but that's wut I have so far. shit's expensive so it takes time, ya feel me.

aight, good luck dog -1-

Ok when it comes to software never pay for it.... I sujest calkwalk with sound forge that is a great combo... and use frutyloops 3.5.6 or 4.1 if you can find it... then Mix each chanel out one by one and put them in whatever you mixing program is. I use calkwalk. then you should deffently use a noise gate and compresser and Limter for your mic imputs if you dont have a sound proff room.. other wise you will have alot of problems. I use the Nady CL5000 good machine and only about 100 to 150 bucks. Get it , don't think about it just get it or somthing just like it. You want a good screen for your mic and a good vocal mic unless you are using somthing like a boss workstion that can make any mic sound good. use a mic stand for sure. any questions or coments just email me peace
