Yeah they are, jelly rolls man. I just got off the scale. I'm at 438 pounds. can't even walk up the steps without running out of breath. I eat like 30 jelly donuts a day, not counting the 3 bags of chips that I put on top of all 5 pizza's I eat a day, on top of the 3 24 packs of coke I go through every 2 hours.

I'm going to be going to defend your rights to willingly be able to post on this shit too

It was a joke, dude. Nas is a "popular rapper".

He's not necessarily popular, but he's not unknown. Illmatic>every other hip hop album.

Nas isn't popular? How many #1 albums on Billboard has he had? How many platinum records?

7 Albums platinum, I know that for a fact.

But i'm talking about our generation today. If you mention Nas they talk about how Rick Ross is better, you know where i'm coming from?

And you can't ask anyone about Rakim or Special ED in our generation because they say, "who?"

Well our generation today is fucking retarded, no doubt about that. Thankfully, there are some good rappers out there today that are still making meaningful music. Kid Cudi and Wale come to mind.

I listen to some new school "commercial" artist but I also mix it up with a blend of underground artist. I can't stand having all one sided or else the music gets to redundant.

for instance

here's some fresh shit
underground below underground

^this tracks meaning is so fucking powerful, really, this shit sent shivers down my spine first time I heard it.

Yeah, I'm not totally in touch with the hip-hop scene anymore, but I have a few staples that I still enjoy and new artists I like to check out.
