The only thing you can do to attract more members is improve the site content. A prettier theme will do absolutely nothing if the site content is shit. Currently, RV's leagues generally suck. We have no tournaments, hardly any (good) battles.. Our discussions are limited to "racism LOL," "I am sick of this site and I'm leaving for good / thread starter: Tha Q," "RV is dying," "Look at this funny/interesting news article/video" and "*insert meaningless, boring topic here*". If you really want to improve RV then improve the content.

The reason it was so big before is because it was attached to the most OBVIOUS domain name EVER. Rapbattles.com, if I wanted to look for a site to rapbattles where would I look? Rapverse? no. If I wanted to find rapmusic, where would I go? rapverse? No. Rapmusic.com? Yes.

What this site needs is simple... active mods that go out and promote this site and actually get shit done.
When Kempo was modding the LBL, he did that, he's got over 20 referrals. When I was modding the 1-2, LBL, and GBA, I did that, I also have over 20 referrals. But really it seemed like very few people were with us and it takes more than a couple people to promote a site. |
