Cool edit offers compression, graphic equalization and numerous filters that allow you to achieve practically ANY sound you desire if you know how to use it.

Cool edit is a lot harder to use than Acid, acid pro is one of the most widely used programs for netcees, know why? Cuz it is soo god damned easy.

WTF...You say shit that makes absolutely no sense..

sonar is not better than acid. It has all the same features. Sonar just has a different graphical interface. It has more of it's features displayed on the screen like protools. This doesnt make it better. The reason Acid is better than Cool Edit is because there are more options and you have more control over the filters. This is not the case with Acid and Sonar. They have the same usability. But Acid has an edge because its directly compatible with Sound Forge and CD Architect. You can't beat that combination of software no matter how you look at it.

lol...

ur completely wrong...and i'ma tell u why right now (urb knos what he's talkin about)
i'm in the studio ALL DAY, so errything i spit is the truth...
i used BOTH...acid is a good program, for someone who dont have the funds...but it is NOT better than sonar...sonar is compatible with all pro tools equipment (automation, etc) it has a pre-rendering option that saves RAM, acid does not...i could go ON AND ON...acid is not the best program...maybe for some MC's on the net...but u cant run no studio on no damn ACID, plus its main purpose is for looping...now aint that some shit?

besides, the plug ins make the program anywayz...i use sound forge for cleaning the vocals(gate and compression)

i use acid to timestretch my samples

and i use sonar it all down...

dawg i said unless ur using protools lol. yea when i get some protools equipment i'll use protools. but its only good if your usin protools equipment. i never said acid is better. i said sonar isnt better than acid. they have 2 different purposes. think about it this way... u use sonar and STILL use acid on top of that. I use acid but i never use sonar. btw acid pro 4 does prerender the tracks.
