im roman catholic and no roman catholic believes the pope is the most holy person...hes a figurehead like bush is to the u.s, all the pope does is lead the church....and he did do a lot more than any pope i know of, he changed all the church's teachings around in 1968 in vatican 2...but i was reading a gospel last night cause i never read the bible and i wanted to c what it said bout the end of the world...anyways...in there jesus said that when the day of judgement comes, groups of those who believe they are faithful are going to say to him they spread his word throughout the entire world and hes gona say to them i dont know you, go away...and in there it had a note about how it may mean the people of the church and how they believe they are faithful to jesus and do good by his name but really they r the worst on earth

The pope told people 'don't pray to god, pray to me' putting himself in the 'false idol' position that the 10 commandments spoke against. He also acts as the guilty concience for the religion where as he's the moral voice of Christianity and Catholocism. If he says gay marriages are okay, then the rest of the religious mass will (and must) agree.

religion is the number one reasin for hurt in the world (at the moment anyway)...
