RV Rap Idol Season II.: REALITY MEETS RAP!

This is Survivor meets The Apprentice with a little dash of American Idol for good measure!


Goal: The goal of season 2 is to strategize, learn the twists of the game, and adapt in the process.

Who may enter: This tourney is open to any RV board member who has audio capabilities.

The winner of this tourney will be: The person whose team drops the best tracks over the coming weeks of challenges, avoids the pitfalls of the game, and strategizes to form alliances when they count.

How the tourney works:
There will be 2 teams of 5 emcees. Both teams will select a different team captain for EACH week‘s task. NOTE: No ONE PERSON can be team captain more than TWICE. Every week during the tourney, a “challenge” will be assigned that requires both teams to submit a track following the guidelines of that theme. The team captain can assign the person who’ll make the track for that week or hold a vote to determine which team member will record the track for that week. NO ONE person can drop a track more than TWICE during this tourney. Once both tracks are submitted by the teams, there will be a vote by a voting council on which track was weaker. After a loser is determined, the TEAM whose member was voted “weakest” MUST face the “ELIMINATION” voting council, which is THE OPPOSING TEAM. Then, the opposing team will vote one of the losing team member’s off the show. NOTE: TEAM CAPTAINS CAN NOT BE VOTED OFF. HOWEVER, THE TEAM CAPTAIN MAY PASS ALONG THEIR IMMUNITY TO ONE OF THEIR TEAMMATES BEFORE IMMUNITY. If ever the count for both teams becomes uneven by 2, then the team with more members must relinquish a team member to the opposing team, WHICH GETS TO SELECT THE MEMBER THEY WANT. Note: TEAM CAPTAINS CAN NOT BE SELECTED FOR REASSIGNMENT.

Once 5 people are voted off, both teams become one large team. At that point, it’s every man for himself. The winner of the challenges from this point on automatically receives Immunity and everyone ELSE is subject to elimination by the VOTING COUNCIL (that votes on the actual songs). Therefore, If 5 people drop a track and PERSON-A is the strongest, PERSONS B thru E face the VOTING COUNCIL where ONE WILL BE eliminated. NOTE: The winner of the challenge MAY give their immunity to someone else before the Voting Council Elimination. In that case, the person receiving immunity is therefore immune, but the person relinquishing it no longer is.

Special Notes:
1. I (Tha Q) will be developing the weekly challenges.
2. During the early part of this tourney, both teams MUST indicate in their individual threads (to be posted in the RV Rap Idol forum) who’s making the song for them that particular week.
3. There will be a “Special Rap Consultant” who will be available to help both teams during the duration of this competition.
4. If a team or individual DOES NOT meet the specified deadline, they or their teams AUTOMATICALLY faces the Elimination Voting Council. NOTE: I as the tourney host WILL NEVER give you a bogus deadline.
5. There will be one or more “moles” positioned in this competition somewhere to throw one or both teams off course. This can be in the form of “bad” advice, incorrect challenge information, or general deceptive tactics when dealing with you.

**Once the competition gets down to 2 people, there IS NO MORE immunity and winner will TAKE ALL. It won’t be enough to drop hot tracks to get to the final 2. In order to make it to the final two, you MUST strategize and realize who is on your side and who isn’t.
