Intro

This league is starting to fade and no one is doing anything to try and stop it. Shit has reached an all time low with voting, showing and general respect shown to the rules and what not. Shit’s become ridiculous. I’m looking through the league right now and only a few names stand out. Only a few names consistently show up for fuck sake. Compare that to a couple of months back when the league was absolutely stacked with talent, when I advertised this league to B-Boys heads I used to be able to type at least 10 names who were legends around the net. Now pretty much all the legends have signed out.

Which leads me to my next point. This should now be a fresh start for the league. We’re running quite low numbers wise, no-shows are rife and voting sucks quite frankly. So it’s up to you to make this league as good as it once was, and better. I’m looking at the RV residents, the people who have seen leagues come and go for years on this site, then when a dope one comes along you get annoyed and leave? You should be trying hard to make this shit the best, ain’t you tired of RV being cast off as a nothing site? I remember reading someone say that RV was hardly even a properly respected battling site until the LBL came along. If you’re in the RV legends section in the HOF, you should be signing up.

Now I’m gonna address the people who really could be winning this league. People who seem to coast through and just end up with good records, yet have never really challenged the top. People who have skills to be the champ but for whatever reason haven’t been yet. People like Erel Avent, Rush Lingo, JTR etc etc. JTR is a prime example, he’s a dope battler yet he rarely drops nice in the LBL and that annoys me.

Now I’m gonna talk to the people who may not be in with a chance of winning the league. For you this should be all about elevation and making a name for yourself. You don’t make a name for yourself by pissing me off by not voting, or beefing with any member who you happen to be battling. You make a name for yourself by dropping to your fullest potential, being humble and not moaning about bullshit stuff. If you try your hardest every week then give it a couple of months and you could be one of the ones who’s pushing for the title. L.I. is a prime example of this. When he was in the league the first time he dropped pretty fucking shitty. The second time, I even said he should perhaps sign in under an alias. But he kept going and he’s been dropping some nice stuff lately. This league has been used as a stepping stone for a lot of people to become more known. SlicKnife, So Rell, Ace Heratoga, Rush Lingo, pictureperfect2, Precize etc. So follow their lead and make a name of yourself, this is the perfect time to do it.

Lastly, this is something that is not even to do with battling. Chat more! The threads used to be full of chat and then it died down. Chatting a lot makes for a much more interesting league, as it involves the league. LLL is the best for this, their last chat thread had near 2,000 replies. Stuff like that gets the rest of the league motivated to battle, as people want to be talked about.

Basically, everyone step it up a notch and let’s make this league the best on the net once again.

After a chat with SPuL I decided to delete the top 10 forum. It just resulted in the top 10 battles being slept on, which I really don’t want. I may implement a top 20 in the future if the league gets big, but never a top 10.

LBL Championship Match: 1. Butler (13-0) vs. 2. Mercules (8-1)

Hoooly shit. NEW CHAMP! Mercules won this 5-2 and finally Butler has been dethroned at the top. The battle itself was pretty tight. Butler dropped cool, he had the scales bar that was mad dope, the wing it, lost to and rewording bars were all good also. Merc came swinging though and had the reword 04 bar, in voluntary movements which was maad dope, ring, streak and short-cut bars. They were all hot. Merc just had more funny bars it seemed and while the battle was really close Merc took it pretty comprehensively to become the new LBL champion. Props to Mercules on his win.

LBL Contendorship Match: 3. Brock Sampson (5-0) vs. 4. Euthanize (5-3)

Holy shit Brock absolutely killed Euthanize’s pic. Brock’s verse was straight dope, in my opinion he just pipped Mercules for verse of the week. Shit was hilarious. There wasn’t one weak line in it. Love child bar was funny, head cocked was nice, box in the screen was creative as fuck and dope as hell, girl who designed it was nice and strike gold was cool as well. Dope verse, and people were saying it was weak? No way, tight verse. Euthanize dropped pretty decent himself, he had the tangle bar and the black hole bar was cool. A lot of his disses were too simple though, like he’d say something, then he’d say a feature of Brock that related to it. Just too simple. Not a bad verse though. Brock won this 6-0.

5. SlicKnife (9-1) vs. 6. L.I. (3-0)

Reasonably decent battle for a short one. LI had a couple of nice bars, the knife covered in blood was cool and the contender bar was dope as hell. Slick had a recall bar that was tight, but that was about it from his verse. Seemed like he rushed and he probably did as these two battled in the LLL also. LI ended up sweeping this though and he won 5-0.

7. Wordz Ahgod (3-0) vs. 8. Yung Impression (4-1)

Wordz took this pretty easily, winning 4-0. But I disagree. I thought Wordz had the momentum bar that was dope as fuck, but Yung had the 4 weeks mag bar and the Good Times bars that were tight. So I would have said Yung got it based on 2 quotables to 1, but the voters disagreed and Wordz won this 4-0.

9. Shake-Zula (11-3) vs. 10. Flow Intell (2-0)

Shake-Zula no-showed. Flow Intell won.

11. Meters (2-1) vs. 12. Sonny Dimebags (6-3)

Meters no-showed. Sonny Dimebags won.

13. Malicious (3-1) vs. 14. Nasdeey (5-5)

Nasdeey no-showed. Malicious won.

15. Mystic (2-2) vs. 16. Erel Avent (8-3)

Not a bad verse from Mystic, but Erel absolutely murdered him. He had the mys bar, the streets bar and the moving up bar. They were all nice as hell and pretty much killed everything that Mystic had. I expect Erel to be in the champ match soon as long as he tries and votes, no doubt. Mystic had the corn rows bar but apart from that he didn’t have anything else. Erel won this 10-0 and rightfully so.

17. JTR (12-6) vs. 18. LMAOffender (2-1)

This was a strange ass battle. From what I made out from what LMAO told me, JTR said he wasn’t showing so LMAO would of got the win, but then JTR edited a verse in to make me believe that he had posted all along. So yeah, I found out after I’d put the battles up and given JTR the win. So I just took the loss off LMAO and gave him a win. Weird battle.

19. Untold (4-2) vs. 20. Original {3-2)

This battle was complete ass. Original dropped awful, most of his shit made no sense at all and didn’t hit in the slightest. Untold at least had a bit of creativity, but his verse was nothing compared to what he can drop. Untold won this 13-0.

21. K.ontroverz.Y (1-4) vs. 22. COM (1-1)

COM no-showed. K.ontroverz.Y won.

23. Capital B (1-1) vs. 24. Flash (1-1)

Capital B no-showed. Flash won.

Pretty close battle, well very close battle in fact. It ended up 8-7 to Rush in the end. I dunno, I disagreed with the voters and thought Art edged it as he had two tight quotables and Rush only had one. Art had the fashion statement bar and the turn for the worst bar where as Rush only had the tap ass, tap water bar. Not a bad battle overall but yeah the voters thought Rush took it and he won 8-7.

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Mercules (9-1) vs 2. Brock Sampson (6-0)

After Merc just ended Butler’s reign he’s definitely on a role. He’s also PRBA champ at this moment in time as well, after beating John Hensley. So that’s two massive legends that Merc has managed to beat within the space of a few weeks. Brock dropped dope against Euthanize last week, but he had an easy picture to work with. I’m gonna go with Merc taking this, but it could be close.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. L.I. (4-0) vs 4. Wordz Ahgod (4-0)

Should be a pretty decent battle, but I see this being onesided. Wordz is still learning and his 4-0 record is pretty misleading as he hasn’t been dropping amazingly good stuff. He’s been dropping some aight stuff, but LI will probably crush him in this battle. L.I. to take this comprehensively.

5. Flow Intell (3-0) vs 6. Sonny Dimebags (7-3)

Another battle that should be alright, but with a pretty onesided outcome. Sonny dropped a raw verse against N.Tavarez a few weeks back and as long as he’s motivated he should take this battle easily. Sonny to win.

7. Malicious (4-1) vs 8. Erel Avent (9-3)

Once again, another battle that should be decent but with a onesided outcome. Erel dropped nice last week and as long as he’s motivated, he could champ the league. Malcious is ok, but he’s not on Erel’s level. Erel should take this easy.

9. Butler (13-1) vs 10. Euthanize (5-4)

Butler has already said he ain’t showing. So Euthanize will win.

11. JTR (13-6) vs 12. Untold (5-2)

This should be a tight battle. Both are nice, but both haven’t been dropping to their fullest potential lately. So if one steps it up and the other doesn’t it’ll be a onesided battle. If both step it up though it’ll be close and will result in a nice battle. I’ve got JTR just taking this though by a vote or two, could just as easily go the other way though.

13. K.ontroverz.Y (2-4) vs 14. Stanza (2-2)

I haven’t read much of Stanza’s stuff but he seems more motivated than Kon, so I’m gonna say that Stanza will take this.

15. Aeral (2-0) vs 16. Rush Lingo (13-5)

This should be pretty nice. Rush has been dropping good for quite a while now, he seemed to half ass last week but apart from that he’s been dropping cool. Aeral is a pretty good battler, he needs to work on his wording but he’s got a lot of tight concepts. I think Rush has the experience edge though, so Rush should take this.

17. urmomsuxdixxx (2-0) vs 18. T.r.oo.P (1-1)

Once again, another onesided battle.urmom is a vet and has been dropping some pretty good stuff in the league, where as Troop has been dropping alright but nothing special. Urmom should take this.

19. Comedian (2-0) vs 20. Rae Report (1-0)

I ain’t read much of Comedian’s stuff but Rae Report dropped some nice bars a few weeks back. Based on that I’m gonna go with Rae Report.

21. SlicKnife (9-2) vs 22. Mystic (2-3)

Mystic isn’t bad but SlicKnife is a lot better. Slic should take this easily if he tries, as he majorly half assed last week and it backfired on him. SlicKnife to win still though.

23. LMAOffender (3-1) vs 24. Original (3-3)

Original dropped awful last week. His verse was straight ass. He said he rushed it but it was still awful for a rush job. LMAOffender is a pretty good battler as well, so LMAO will flawless Original.

25. Artistik (1-1) vs 26. Thoughts (0-2)

Artistik was unlucky to lose last week, where as Thoughts couldn’t drop a verse. I know nothing about Thoughts either, so Artistik should take this.

27. Out Writechas (0-0) vs 28. SMG (0-0)

I’ve seen SMG about, but never really read any of his verses to be fair. Out I nice when he tries so Out should take this pretty easy.

29. Eddie (0-0) vs 30. valor (0-0)

Eddie is a strange battler. He has a huge ego, yet he often drops whack. But when he tries he can be a nice battler no doubt, and as I know nothing about valor, I’ve got Eddie taking this.

31. Flash (2-1) vs 32. Jack Swagger (0-0)

I dunno anything about Jack Swagger, so I’m gonna go with Flash taking this.

Artistik – As I said, he was unlucky to lose last week and he could do well in the league if he stays in.

Aeral – An underdog this week but he’s definitely got a lot of potential.

Eddie – Needs to drop his hardest to have a chance of winning the league, but if he does he may have a chance.

LMAOffender – Had a tough break last week when some strange shit went down, but he’s tight and should move back up the rankings.

Out Writechas – If he tries he’s nice, if he doesn’t he’s whack. So yeah, it depends on how well he tries if he does well in this league or not.

Must Be Sleeping

JTR – Yep, he’s power ranked also, but he needs to step it up if he wants to win the league.

Untold – Same deal as with JTR, after that awful drop last week who knows if he’s motivated?

10. SlicKnife – I dunno how motivated he is for this league but as long as he gets motivated he could be in and around the champ match, just needs to try his hardest every week.

9. urmomsuxdixxx – Needs to keep dropping to his top ability to win the league, but I know who he is and he’s a well known and decorated battler. Could win the league definitely.

8. Rush Lingo – Another dude who could win the league but hasn’t as of yet. Should beat Aeral this week and then we’ll see how he does in the coming weeks.

7. Untold – Dropped awful last week but I think that was because of who he was facing. When he drops nice he’s a good battler. Needs to step it up to beat JTR this week though.

6. JTR – Has the potential to win the league, but has failed time and time again. If he gets motivated and actually drops how he can, then he could be in with a chance of winning the league. He just needs to drop his best though.

5. L.I. – Has been dropping some pretty tight stuff lately, whether or not he has it in him to win the league though I dunno. But still, he’s been dropping good and should be in the champ match next week.

4. Sonny Dimebags – Needs to drop how he did against N.Tavarez that one week, he had some seriously creative shit in his verse and could win the league if he drops like that every week. Should be in the contendership match next week and we’ll have to wait and see how he does against Erel.

3. Erel Avent – Definitely someone who can win this league, but just for whatever reason hasn’t yet. If he steps it up and drops to his full ability every week, he could win the league.

2. Brock Sampson – Dropped dope last week but had the advantage of Euthanize’s ridiculous pic. How he does against Mercules will remain to be seen, but he definitely has a chance to win the title this week.

1. Mercules – Finally someone dethroned Butler and it was Merc that did it, so there’s no way he can’t be here. Will be interesting to see how long he holds on to the title though, but he has the skill to hold on to it for a long time.
