Pretty poor weak. A lot of no-shows and not many battles went ahead. The battles that did go ahead though were pretty decent so props to them. A few battles were decided by whether or not people voted which sucks, so step it up on that aspect.

The LBL has been a very successful league over the past few months. It's an honor to have champed it. As you all are competing for the title here, I would like to urge you to compete for another title. That is, in the 1-2-1 league.

After a very successful first season, the start of the next season of the 1-2-1 league will begin immediately after the championship match ends this week. This league requires a very small amount of time, but is very competitive and enjoyable. Whether you competed last season or not, you NEED to signup for this league. You have nothing to lose!

Ok cypher. There was a clear winner though. And that winner was Beyond, he started off decent but really heated up and the quotation and sew-so bars were both creative and dope as fuck. Check his bars:

Battle Reviews

LBL Championship Match: 1. DaTrusHurtz (10-0) vs 2. N.Tavarez (5-0)

Holy shit this was close. N.Tavarez dropped first after both of them agreed on an extension, and his verse was average in my opinion. His home site bar was tight and the son-father bar was a clever flip on an old concept, but apart from that I wasn’t really feeling the rest. He had a couple of bars that played on Tavarez winning the title when the league was nice, and DaTrus winning it at its worst, and a lot of people quoted them but I wasn’t feeling them. DaTrus dropped just a bit better, but his verse was still pretty average. He had a TA bar that was nice, an idea for the 1-2 league bar that was good and a woodwork bar that was clever. But apart from that I wasn’t feeling anything else. It felt like both verses were rushed. In the end this was mad close though, and it looked like it could go either way at many points, DaTrusHurtz just edged it though and won 5-4.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. JTR (17-7) vs 4. Wordz Ahgod (7-2)

Wordz no-showed. JTR won.

5. Roger Glocks (8-3) vs 6. Te Ora (2-0)

Cool battle here. Te dropped a good verse again. He had a gully punch that was cool, a likelihood bar that was clever and a RG sacks bar that was fucking dope. His verse was good overall, but apart from those quoted bars the rest of his verse was pretty average. Glocks dropped nice as well. He had a headstart bar that was cool, an unsolved cases bar that was clever and a feel what your saying bar that was dope. The rest of his verse was just more consistent than Te’s really, as they were quite evenly matched on quotables. Good battle, but Glocks won this comfortably 7-0.

9. Erel Avent (11-4) vs 10. Untold (8-5)

Erel no-showed. Untold won.

Voting on this was awful, only 1 vote. But it was deserved cos Sonny didn’t vote at all, and cos of that Trey won.

Fanatic no-showed. Chris Stylez won.

Eh battle. Flash came ok. His verse was consistent, but it was all consistently average really. Nothing stood out to me, the clay bar was pretty good though. Faime had much of the same but his lines weren’t as good as Flash’s. Flash won 5-2.

19. Tony Brown (1-2) vs 20. Stanza (3-6)

Neither voted. Both lost.

Cocaine no-showed. Gon Murk won.

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. DaTrusHurtz (11-0) vs 2. JTR (18-7)

Finally JTR is in the championship match. It’s taken him 26 weeks and countless contendership battle, or near there, fuckups to reach this place and now he finally has his chance. DaTrus didn’t drop great last week but previous to that he’d been dropping dope. JTR had an easy run to the contendership battle really and hasn’t had to drop nice verses, so I’m gonna go with DaTrusHurtz winning this based solely on momentum.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Roger Glocks (9-3) vs 4. Rush Lingo (15-5)

Tight battle here as long as Rush drops to potential. I dunno if Rush might be rusty or not though, and that could be the deciding factor here. Glocks has been dropping decent lately and if he drops nice then he’ll win this, he better not sleep on Rush though.

5. Untold (9-5) vs 6. Trey MethodZ (3-1)

Trey is decent and he’s improving every week, but Untold is better basically. Untold should win this pretty easily and move in to the contendership match.

7. John Hensley (4-0) vs 8. Chris Stylez (2-0)

Murder. As long as Hensley votes he will win this easily.

9. N.Tavarez (5-1) vs 10. Wordz Ahgod (7-3)

I left Wordz in as it seemed like he wanted to show last week but just couldn’t for whatever reason. Tavarez came really close in the champ match last week and he should win this battle pretty easily.

11. Flash (7-3) vs 12. SPuL (7-2)

Finally a chance for Flash to back up all the shit he’s been talking. SPuL specifically requested this battle and he should win this easily. Flash talks too much shit for someone of his skill level and Spul will win this.

13. Chrit (6-4) vs 14. Gon' Murk (1-0)

Chrit’s back in the league after a long lay off and he should start with a win. Gon seems pretty decent but I think Chrit is better. Chrit better make sure he votes though otherwise he’ll lose.

15. X-tortion (1-0) vs 16. Te Ora (2-1)

X-tortion is whack, he wouldn’t be here if his opponent had voted last week. Te Ora dropped cool last week and he will win this easily.

Sonny should be ranked 6th but he fucked up and didn’t vote so he’s stuck in 17th. If he shows though he will win this easily, but I don’t think he will show.

Both fucked up by not voting last week otherwise they’d be higher in the rankings. Tony Brown is the better battler of the two, and he will win this if he shows.

8. Chrit – Has signed back in after champing the league a while back. Is a championship contender and could do well.
