March 25, 1989: the birth of Jessie Goessens. If you're wondering where the last name comes from, I have the Belgian nationality.
From the day I was born, I was the talk of the day. With my red shiny hair, I was the most viewed baby of the entire floor. Guess
I always liked being in the spotlight.

I grew up in a nice neighborhood with a small but loving family around me. I was the Benjamin so you could say that I was a bit of
spoiled kid. I had a quite normal childhood, besides the frequent name calling. Carrot Tops aren't always people's favorites you
know. It all changed when I started high school. The first week of high school, one of my best friends died all of a sudden. One
day he was there, the next he was gone. I will never ever forget that day. It made me lose faith in life. It took me a while to
get over the initial pain but even when I did...it wasn't quite the same. I started caring less and less about what my life was
like and got involved with the bad crowd. Did the dirty work (dealing) but I stopped after a few months. I figured it wasn't the
smartest thing to do with a cop as a dad. But I kept hustlin, did some things I ain't very proud of but it made me grow so much
as a person, as a woman. It wasn't easy to step away but I found the strength within myself to get my facts straight.

I am proud of the way I changed my life around. If I continued on the path I mentioned before, God knows where I would be right
now. Now at 17, I am in college studying communication sciences. I got my mind set on a career. Even though the mountain may seem
too high to climb at times, and even if I fall down...I'ma be right back on my feet and climb to the top, bruised or shattered
but I'ma make it.

That's what I believe makes me unique. I often compare myself to a bird: locked in a golden cage, tried to escape, took some bad
turns but finally found the way out. And you can hear it in my sound. I may not have the "look" for this business but I like
causing controversy. I can put myself in any situation, I can write from any perspective. I test myself, I push myself beyond
the borders given by society. I am so versatile and am influenced by all kinds of music and by hip hop from all around the
world. I have been writing ever since I was little but I really got into rap about 2 years ago when I had finished all of the bullshit I got caught up in. I can talk about deep emotions such as love, friendship
and such, but I can just as easily speak about getting that paper in ways that aren't always as legit as they should be. I keep
things real,I ain't gonna pretend I grew up in a bad neighborhood or that I saw many awful things. I'm giving you the truth,
I'm giving you me.

It's pure, it's raw...It's DQ...The Queen of Drama...

Hey Mr Record Executive. I’m an anomaly. A strange type of hip-hop fan in that I’m everything the culture wasn’t when it started. White, young, reasonably well off and not exposed to many of the elements. Yet for whatever reason I love hip-hop. The whole enjoying it aspect started quite commonly, at least from where I live. Eminem was becoming big, the amount of exposure he was getting from the media was massive and as 11 year olds it rubbed off on myself and the people I hung with. A few of my friends got it before me, so obviously I listened to it and loved it. Christmas came, I got Eminem – The Marshall Mathers LP. Months passed. I got Dre, Snoop, 2Pac, more Eminem, D12 and so on. Then came the internet. More albums came from that. At that point it was all commercial type of stuff. Then a friend mentioned to me about underground, and how it was so much better. I practically shunned his suggestions at the time. However, then came the writing at 15.

I was just sat there on the Internet, chatting to random friends from forums. When some dude sent me a verse. He didn’t even write raps, his graphics forum was just having a random rap competition. So he’d wrote this verse and he sent me it to critique. I was like fuck this, I can do way better. I wrote the verse, it was way better. My friends told me so and he told me so. Obviously at that point I thought I was nice, yet when I tried writing another verse I came up short on the creativity side. I could barely rhyme. I had to resort to Rhymezone for most of them. And the subject was strange. I wrote about a McDonalds drive-thru. Yet because my rhyming was so forced, it went off in random directions, like how I’d fended off an offender in my house due to my past practise of kung fu. Around this time Underground rap started to delve it’s way into my collection, and that’s when I realised that what isn’t seen, is often what should be seen. Anywho, while searching Google for rap, or something similar, I came across B-Boys.com. I signed up to the forum, posted my McDonalds rap, got one reply which was negative, and become sort of disheartened. But I carried on writing and carried on text battling until it came to around November.

By November I was interested in audio. The first ever dude I battled had started doing audio and we talked all the time. He told me to just buy a mic and a mixer and get started. But being from the background I am from, that’d come across as kinda strange to people. So I waited around, and waited around, and waited around. Until it came to February. I was scouring Ebay and I saw a nice deal on a mic. I asked and bought it. I saw a mixer, I bought it. I saw a pop filter, I bought it. I saw a stand, I bought it. I saw headphones, I bought them. Then with my setup complete I started audio. Nine months on and I’ve elevated quite a lot. I’m starting to work out a style and things are coming together. My faux American accent has gone, and been replaced by a natural UK accent. My goals? Record and release an album on the internet. Yep, just on the internet. I set short term goals, so that they can be achieved easier. Once that goal is over, release an album on to the streets. Once that’s done, who knows. And at the risk of sounding cocky, I believe I’m special. Now I have to show the world, and everyone in it.

I know for a fact I would be an asset to your label for the simple fact I will not give up. I will work to the fullest of my potential to ensure I reach standards I and other people are happy with and to meet deadlines. I believe I can bring a new style and complexity of a verse with different rhyme schemes and concepts. I am sure my accent will appeal to some listeners as it is not something people hear everyday around hiphop. This will bring a fresh view on old styles adapted to meet a listeners satisfaction.

Hiphop is not a hobby to me, its a lifestyle. I find myself writing in any spare time I have and freestyling at any chance. Due to my posotive attitude towards being the best I have caught the eye of many already established rappers and grime artists. This is important because it allows for me to collaberate with a larger lange of people which in turn will give this label more exposure.

I am a man who meets targets, my latest is to be a part of this label now, and to bring a following towards my own music and to the labels other artists. I am sure my name will be known within 6 months of hard work and thats when I will work even harder to improve my style even more.

Whats poppin Mr. A & R. Let me explain to you why Im crack, but before I do that, lemme tell you the basics about myself. My name's Zone Out, Im 17 years old, and Im from Detrit's westside. I've been through alot of things in my vicious city. Some things that would break the average person, but my ambition and motivation keep me going. I've been listening to rap as long as I can remember, fuck what Bone Thugs say, IM a REAL hip hop baby.

As far as my own rap style, people always say I sound like 'someone" but they cant name anyone specifically. Its because I sound like what they want to sound like, but cant. Im a very versatile emcee, plus Im still elevating. I still have to hone my skills, but for 17, Im a beast. I appeal to numerous fan bases. Im young, black, and sexy. I can get the bitches on my dick. I got niggas paying homage to me, cause my life's real, and I got young cats open cause Im not on any soft Lil Romeo or Bow Wow shit. Im 100% street. I dont follow whats hot, I follow how I want to rap, fuck what everyone else like.

I promise, with the right support and push, I could blow up! I got the heart of a lion. Nothing can stop me. This rap shit is in my blood. Im not like these other wannabe rappers who only started listening to rap a couple months ago or who seen 8 Mile and thought it was easy. Its embedded in me. Me rapping is like the 2nd coming of Jesus, its been long awaited. Niggas hate, but more niggas love me. These other cats is corny. Thats why I feel I would be perfect for your label. Holla at me.

I always have seen rap as a way for me to let out any problems I have. It's a zone of comfort for me. I usually keep to myself around others, but when it comes to rap I usually just let it all out. If I'm angry, I let the anger out, and prevent myself from doing anything stupid. It's an instant calming sensation for me. When I'm on the mic, nothing else matters to me, it's just me, the lyrics, and the mic in front of me. I rap for the passion of making music, and not like other people *cough* J SUMMERS!!!! *cough* who just do it for the money and change their style to what sells.
As far as why i'd be an asset to the company, I stay focused on what I'm doing. If I decide to do something, no matter what gets in my way I won't stop until I achieve it. Or even if I do happen to fail, I'd be able to go out knowing that I still gave it my 150%, and I'll just work on trying even harder to achieve it next time. Also, like I said before, I have the passion for music. Music is what drives me, what keeps me happy. Without it, I'd feel like I was missing a huge part of me. So you know I'll do everything in my power to keep it in my life. Also, I try to bring a unique style to the table. I stay true to myself. You'll never see me rap about gang banging, selling crack, hustling, etc. I never will claim that I'm gangsta, because I know I'm not, and I don't feel that i NEED to be one to get ahead in the rap game. It might be harder to get through, but I always have liked having to deal with big challenges.
All in all, what you see is what you get with me. I stay true to myself, have a passion for music, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure I can succeed in music. Music is everything to me, and when my love for music stops, I'll be riding dirty in a coffin in the backseat of a w/e the car they ride coffins in is. Real talk.

What is hip-hop? Hip-Hop is not music. Hip-Hop is a culture, a way of life, an open door for those who are willing to enter. I took my first step through tha door, and I knew then this is what I want to do the rest of my life. 13 years of age and I got three five-star notebooks jampacked with raps, hooks, poems, thoughts on life and any other influence to come to my adolesent mind. This was the time to turn this calamity of paper and pen into music. 6 short years later I am here, and the position I am in now could not make me any more pleased.
I have devoloped a group called Kings Of The North a combo of smoothe southern vibes and crunk-like melodies. Our style is by no means the most lyrical work bieng put out today, but people young and old continue to buy our c.d.'s, wear our clothes, and bump our music. I don't think of myself as a rapper. J.Summers is a Business Man who raps well. I am extremely versatile when put into effect I can create lyrics that make ya think, or get on my crunk vibe and make ya drink.
Recently the K.O.T.N. took there performance to the club for the Self Inflicted Hip-Hop battle. Push come to shove the "Kings" rose to the top over 22 other groups and artists for the opening slot at a Mike Jones concert. Mike Jones was M.I.A. so geuss who got his slot? Thats right the K.O.T.N. performed for a sold out crowd and how do you say?...got the club CRUNK. After our outstanding performance we were invited back to open for another sold-out show, The Ying Yang Twins. Accompinied by O.Y.D.'s finest, Tito Bronsky and Enygma the K.O.T.N. once again took the stage for an amazing show.

Do I have what it takes to be a rapsuperstar. That is a question you will have to answer. Making it in this industry is more than just Beef and Beats. The emcee is the product and you have to sell yourself to customer, and that my friend is one thing I know how to do.

Thank You
J. Summers

Yea. I was gonna post this last night, but fell asleep. So i missed the date. Eh. but ill give you it anyways. just incase you need a filler.

Music is an outlet for me. It's a way to escape what I call a life. So how would I been an asset in this business? I have a versatile style, that alot of people can't change or imitate. And I'm dedicated. Since I was younger I've been writing songs and started recording. I've promised alot of time into this business no matter what ups and downs I've could always sit down and write when wanting or needed to. I'm not just your normal rapper, I can identify with any type of audience and I think that's a key factor to making it in this business. That's why I think I would be an addition that is needed to your label.

Hell I'm only fifteen but I know that a real emcee has energy and a certain skill to themselves that make them Unique. I believe I complete that fufillment and would be able to and willing to do anything to make it. This game is my life.

To be an emcee isn't an image, it's a culture. It's a way of life. And I believe that with a certain push from you I could make it no matter the costs or predetermined setbacks.

Thats Me.
