definately agree with this...i dont like to beef its dumb or try to be "the best"...i just want to be respected even if its only the net atleast its something until i get into bigger things but yea thats the only thing i care about is rap and respect

ppl that just come here 2 fuck around n 4 fun r just wasting their time in my opinion. this isnt a chat site, we're (most of us), are serious artists looking for fame. nobody knows nobody on this site, and so just beefing and startin shit is a waste of time unless ur actually working on improving.

Yea I agree Nos, but straight up, I'm not trying to get into the rap game. I think most on here that know me, know that much. I'm half way to getting my MBA in buisness marketing, I do sales for the largest maker of oil and gas tube's and valves, co-owned my own bar/lounge when I was 19, this rap thing is just a hobby to me. I write to vent, express my thoughts, and to basically have fun. I'ma get into audio eventually, most probably with J Poll when he drags me into it, but yea, basically, I do this shit cause I'd rather write and post up than watch TV and do other lame shit. To me sitting down with a pen and paper kick'ing rhymes with some of my friends is some good shit.

But good to all those who can and are make'n a name for themselves in this. And good to all those who just post up cause it's some fun shit to do.

word. i actually dont do alot on the site myself, like battlin, because im alot more concerned about my actual life outside rv..... and makin these cds and producin some shit.... and i really dont have enough time to both battle people on this site and work on my actual songs, with everythin else i gotta do nowadays..... I come here to give feedback to peeps.... (and i know nos doesnt like this) but i also come to juss talk and talk about the hip hop scene in general..... and ive actually gotten alot better by just hearin others peoples shit and wat they gotta say about wat hip hop means to them, and improved as a lyricist...... i use to be all flow, and juss watever sounds good would be fine...... but now i constantly look over my shit wen i write it to see wat i can make better/complex and add meta's or punches.... i post open mics and songs once in a while just for rv to listen to, but for the most part, i juss work on my own thing and come here to find out how to get better....

too bad no ones gonna wanna read all that^^^^


Edit: but i dont think ima get so good into the rap game unless its producin wise........ no image, not a great voice, and my emotion isnt that great on the mic i dont think.... ima keep tryin, and i do it to vent and cuz i enjoy it more than almost anythin, but i dont think my life is gonna be as a mc..... its wat i love.... but theres other ways to make a living that are less risky that everyone needs to do....

I had originally started on this site because i had a big freestyle competition comin' up, and i wanted to get more polished and basically get sonned, because where i come from, I'm the best rapper, but like bein' the best on Rv, that don't mean shit. No one raps where i stay at. This community was a lot better than. I'm here still because i've met some great people that have shared a lot of tips and knowledge with me, and i really love hip-hop and live by it. All the lil' kids that come on here to try and be keyboard thugs and internet text allstars are just stupid. The internet is a great way to refine your skills, as well as bond with people who share a love of music with you. That's basically everything i have to say at the moment. Excellent thread.
