I jus wanted to get your opinions on religion and god and do u or dont u belive in God and if u are religious what religion. BAsicly jus state your opinion of religion and God.

Personaly I belive that there is a creator, somebody or something that created everything and is a higher power but I dont really give in to bible stories or a 100% in any religion really, but i do find them very intresting.
Especialy Christianity and Islam, they are vry intresting and since my dad is a muslim and my mom is a chrstian i have been exposed to both alot.

I am....I believe in the Bible and it's veiws, I believe that God did indeed create the world and that Jesus one day will return...I want to become a christain someday.

God to me, is the most powerful force, hes everywhere. Jesus is my biggest infulence, simply because of what he done, how he done it, and just how much influence he has on the world....!

i'm thinknig there's a creator, but am not in to all that organised religion stuff really. also believe in christ, so i'm a christian technically. the only time you'd actually find me in a church though is if i was forced to be there. the dogma of organised religion and stuff just bores the hell out of me. in my opinion, no point in some priest telling me something over and over again that i already know neway.

I don't claim any religion now. I believe The Bible and its scriptures. Not what a pastor behind a pulpit tells me. I have 9 versions of the Bible, if I ever learn how to read Hebrew, I'll only use the Hebrew copy of the original...no translation that can mislead you. In other words, yes. I strongly believe in God.

I wish I lived near Texas. I think we could have some interesting conversations. I'm not one of those people that tries to force their religion on you. Actually, as you can read in my previous post, I don't have a religion. I love discussing issues related to God and mankind..etc. However, i don't like discussing them over the internet on a message board. Text is too easily misconstrued into something else. Discussions that are that controversial and at that caliber deserve a face to face debate/discussion.

lol. cracked me up when people at my school used to talk about god, well, i say talk, but i actually mean argue. cos you'd always have one peson taht wouldn't believe nehting u told them, and one person that wouldn't have all the answers. was extremely funny. but u had to be there really. my inane posts don't get across teh moment really. even though i believe in god, i'd usually question the guy defending their religion just cos i think it's important people realise why tehy believe in god tehmselves as oppose to what they've been told.

I try to be religious once in a while, I go to church once a month or so, and stop by the Youth Group before I go out on Friday. My best friend is the Pastor's son, and they're obviously very religious. But, we still smoke and drink. He doesn't feel pussy whipped to God though. So we can still do shit, but his parents are strict. I tried to buy into the whole God ordeal, but I question too many things about the Bible to strongly believe in it.

thank's for the compliment. good to see somebody else shares my views about the problems of forcing people to believe something. trying to do so will never work, because only personal experiance can create true faith.

I am religous to an extent. I do believe in faith, but it has been proven that the stories in the bible could not have happend in that time frame. So that kinda changed some of my thoughts on it... Not much though...

I beleive that I keep my belief for God in my heart and that
if hes really out there hell know the good deeds i do, and i dont have to
go to a church daily to prove that.

im not a religious person at all. there is to many religons to say mine is right and yours is wrong.

and i also have a hard time devoting my life to something i have never seen.

I was raised in a predominantly Buddhist Society. I do admit that I have taken alot of that with me in my journey thus far through life, however since moving to Australia I have also broadened my prespective and taken quips from other sources to guide me. In Highschool I spent a year of my Sundays visiting different Churches and Religious facilities, talking to people of various denominations, only to find that they were all looking for the same thing- guidance, inner peace, love. Hence, I dont have faith in any organised religions, I have faith in myself, if I need guidance I ask those whose opinion I respect, I love, and I am loved.

One very basic hypocrisy Ive always found fascinating to ask 'religous folk' is that if we are indeed condemned to hell if we do not put our faith in their chosen religion... How do you explain that if you are not Christian, you will be condemned, and yet, if you are not Jehoves Witness, you will also be condemned. The same can be said for many organised religions Im just taking these 2 examples now. So, if I am Christian, then under Jehoves Scriptures I am still condemned as Im not a JW, and vice versa. Who is right? In my eyes it seems that unless we are a member of all organised religion, then we are fated to damnation by the scriptures of any other.

After studying Archeaology and History of the Worlds Religions for the past 4 years, Ive come to the conclusion that organised religion is nothing more than a contemporary, commercialized version of the scare tactics religion utilised by the Ancient Roman Empire and other such civilizations from our history.

As for the existance of God, Atheist.
As for God being the be all and end all of love, thats a joke to me.
As for creationism, its fanatical. Evolutionism is a far more likely candidate.
As for the Bible, a wonderfully written piece of fiction but can never be taken seriously as a factual document, there is too much evidence to disprove it. True, some scripts from the Bible mirror events that have been proven, but they have been trumped up for awe value, just like any good story.
Spirituality, has nothing to do with religion.

Im hoping, in that instant before death all the answers will be revealed one way or another.. If not, then if we do indeed possess cognative abilites after death, then I shall eternally remain questioning.

This is perhaps the biggest question in human history! Is there god? I personally believe god and heaven were created so people can deal with death. Because its unthinkable for us to think that one day there will be nothing. So people go to religion to help them deal with this, and deaths in family and so on. If you were to look at the facts it would be obvious Evolution is responsible for what we are today.

I don’t have a problem in people believing and following different religions. But I personally don’t believe there is a creator power like "god".
