Aiight, I'm gonna start off with a question.. Who here is actually looking to get into the rap game..? Because a lot of you act like you only make and write raps for RV..

I dont think many of you know what it is to be a music artist and are more tied up in the "ooh I'm gonna make a diss on that muf fucka" stage.. And I also think a lot of you post only stuff about RV like its the reason where here..

Think about it, if none of us were fans of rap music.. Would we be on this site?....................No.

We are here to showcase what we bring to the table as a rap artist.. The LL shouldnt have threads like "Whos the best on RV!!" and bullshit like that.. The LL is a place for young rap artists to talk about whats happening in their life.. For people to announce the start of tournies and a bunch of shit like that.. Damn, I would love to allow beef threads back in the LL like crazy.. Thing is, a lot of you have a compleatly warped idea of what this site is for..

The reason the net rap scene is dying and considered wack by most people is because most of the kids that are on top of it these days came up by trying to look dope infront of the real vets who left years ago.. Its a fucking mess..

Were sposed to be here to all help each other elevate, through reading the new open mics, voting on battles, listening to new tracks from artists on the site and using the site for what it is meant to be used for. Not trying to be the dopest in the little rap community we call RV.. Beefing with other members of this site will happen, period, no one can help that.. But the way people beef these days is fucking pathetic.. I mean a lot of kids on here will just talk shit for fun, then beef saying how wack each other are for like 5 pages in a thread.. This is why a lot of kids need to grow up.. Use this site as an outlet to talk to other hip hop heads from around the world and help each other out by possibly making new connections.. Dont use this site like its a high school..

Trying to be the best on "rv" is some people's dream, not mine. Im learning of this site to help me break into the industry. But a few kid's dont actually care about making it into the industry, so they are just here for fun. The fun should be allowed. Because if rv was so serious all the time, this place would be as dull as rb.

But,there is a diffrence between fun and imaturity. people doing thing's such as creating an alias then battling strobe for "ownership of rv is sorta pointless.

This site is turning into one big compition.All though compition help's you elevate, bragging and claiming you "own" whoever you beat is pointless.blah.

I'm just here to express myself and elevate. Haven't been too active but i think the net is a good way to get in touch with other people who are passionate about the game. You can't take this too seriously, net is net...The beef can't be avoided probably but it's so pointless, why waste your energy on that if you could use it to make a dope song or collab? You won't get succesful in real life if you only spend your time on here, this is just a help for some and that's that.

You gotta really come to terms with yourself on how far the net will take you... Spending all your time to become the best on rv? Next to useless.
Spending a lot of time and hard work on a mixtape and pushing it yourself on a corner for a couple of bucks? Worth a lot more.

Its putting time and effort in the real world and getting a fan base that will help you make it.. And thats word.

no the net is only good for practicing. when your real good.

and trust me. if your good enough. you will be scouted.
and eventually signed. it's all in due time. just gotta wait.
the net is a good way to contact other lyricists.
and its a good way to practice and try new things.

You gather here with people who share the same passion for music and i realize that i probably wouldn't be where i am now without the net because people helped me get better just like i helped others out too. The net can be a foundation of something bigger, something real...I won't say the net means nothing because that's not true, you get in touch with people everywhere and you are able to show your talent but you can't get too caught up in it...That's all

Rapping is a very important aspect of my life but not on the net...I don't come here to look for apprecation or something, i started the text battling but i hardly do it now because it's not my thing. I'm still waiting for my audio equipment to arrive so i can stop bugging my friend. But this thread isn't about me...

I'm just saying that if you wanna get serious with rap, you can't take the net too serious. But i believe it can help you elevate because you can always get better and i also think it's a good opportunity to help others out. Half of the people or even more on here are on this site for fun, that's why they have time to beef and post stupid things...but then you have people who really want to get serious with the game but they think the net is the game when it's really not. You should be out performing or dropping audio stuff and working on that instead of beefing but that's what it gets to when you take it too serious.

This site has helped me elevate tremendiously, that's why I stay on it. I owe a lot to this site for helping he get better a writing poetry, songs, freestyling, and rapping overall. Nos I know what you are saying, and i agree with ya, but even when people post feedback, most don't help people elevate, and people don't help each other because they want to be the "best" on RV. My 2 Cents.

Nos, you nailed it with this thread, this site does help those who are actually looking to elevate, have fun with creativity, and those who actually use what it offers.....but some kids take it too seriously, emotionally, thinking they are god's gift to rap, this isn't a drama production, its a site where we share ideas and grow by using our skills,beef is a waste of time, and it does absolutely nothing for you, accept waste time, and there is no "best", only the best we can do for ourselves...so yea, i agree with you fully on this shit..holla..pc

Yea I agree Nos, but straight up, I'm not trying to get into the rap game. I think most on here that know me, know that much. I'm half way to getting my MBA in buisness marketing, I do sales for the largest maker of oil and gas tube's and valves, co-owned my own bar/lounge when I was 19, this rap thing is just a hobby to me. I write to vent, express my thoughts, and to basically have fun. I'ma get into audio eventually, most probably with J Poll when he drags me into it, but yea, basically, I do this shit cause I'd rather write and post up than watch TV and do other lame shit. To me sitting down with a pen and paper kick'ing rhymes with some of my friends is some good shit.

But good to all those who can and are make'n a name for themselves in this. And good to all those who just post up cause it's some fun shit to do.

word. i actually dont do alot on the site myself, like battlin, because im alot more concerned about my actual life outside rv..... and makin these cds and producin some shit.... and i really dont have enough time to both battle people on this site and work on my actual songs, with everythin else i gotta do nowadays..... I come here to give feedback to peeps.... (and i know nos doesnt like this) but i also come to juss talk and talk about the hip hop scene in general..... and ive actually gotten alot better by just hearin others peoples shit and wat they gotta say about wat hip hop means to them, and improved as a lyricist...... i use to be all flow, and juss watever sounds good would be fine...... but now i constantly look over my shit wen i write it to see wat i can make better/complex and add meta's or punches.... i post open mics and songs once in a while just for rv to listen to, but for the most part, i juss work on my own thing and come here to find out how to get better....

too bad no ones gonna wanna read all that^^^^


Edit: but i dont think ima get so good into the rap game unless its producin wise........ no image, not a great voice, and my emotion isnt that great on the mic i dont think.... ima keep tryin, and i do it to vent and cuz i enjoy it more than almost anythin, but i dont think my life is gonna be as a mc..... its wat i love.... but theres other ways to make a living that are less risky that everyone needs to do....
