The Sandlot 2
 

if you're like me, you think of the original "The Sandlot" movie as a classic, it's personally my favorite movie of all time. Anyway, the new one is supposed to be 10 years later with a new group of kids...the team only consists of 6 players (one being the fat kid from "Bad Santa" playing the catcher nicknamed Ham)...they end up having three girls on the team....i could go on but meh, i dont wanna...anyways, i bought the dvd in hopes that it would add to the classic feeling of the movie..in the end, it was not even close...the actors are all shitty, basically the stupid girls just sucked, and it was much harder to identify with the characters because they really didnt let you get a feel for them at all...

the sequel could have done one of two things with it's shittiness:
1. ruined The Sandlot legacy, or
2. make the first one seem even better

luckily, i found it did the latter of the two.......

in conclusion, if you have seen this movie, tell me what you think, and if not, never waste your money renting it, or buying like i regrettably did...


Note: i bought the original and the sequel together for 25 bucks...and IMO, it was worth it because i find the original to be worth at LEAST that much

Yeah but Word of Prey, u gotta watch it as a kid's classic that you just really dont want to be ruined..............

good ol' sandlot, havn't seen that in ages.....is that the one where they hit the ball over the fence or whatever, and there's a big dog and they think the old man who owns the dog is evil or something but he turns out good?

in the new one, a guy from the other team says "you play ball like a girl" to the fat kid on "the good guys" team..and then the main girl in the movie who has an annoying southern drawl says "ex-cuuuuuse me?!?!".........i basically wanted to stab her....also, they lose a fuckin rocket over the fence instead of a ball...the rocket was a prototype of the one that they were going to use to send to space so it was very important...the girl's father designed it and worked for NASA....the main kid is all about rockets and not about baseball and is sposed to be the brother of that Smalls guy from the first one...

when i was a kid i loved the sandlot.. ive still got it on VHS... shit was dope... smalls and everyone and the giant dog... loved it... i havent seen the new one nor would i want to... James Earl Jones is in the 2nd one i heard playing the old blind man from the first one so thats good but i want to remember the sandlot as a movie that me and my old friends watched back in the day... it was a great kids movie that if you grew up with it you could still watch it today... i personaly havent watched it in years but i can still remember every aspect of the movie... i just hope the 2nd one hasnt ruined the legacy and purity of the sandlot as a childrens classic... when i have a kid that will probably be the first movie i buy him.
