Beautiful... Picture an angel... Flying and singing, Now different the angle, shes actually disguised as a demon, Every single thing dangles, helplessly, crying and screamin, None of this was love... You said it just denying the meanin, Dictionary for us... A few words, You were lieing the feelin, Livings crazy just cause I can't when I'm trying to leave and, Your heart was open to me, then you changed the deadbolt, Just when I was hoping to leave, I got afraid and then thought, How would I live without someone I had for 11 months in all, When my living quarters I can't stand and in your arms i'm comfortable, Puzzle? Changing won't fix, Theres some sections a mess, Peices rearranged and won't fit, and it lessens my breath, You said you question the rest when all you said was "love you, What would I do without you?" Seems you'd live life with no trouble, I've lost a cause. just lost my balls was I was trying to leave, "I've never felt this way," Never been filled with lies and deceit? God had to make a decsion, was life even worth giving. Thats why the heart is the place were your conscious is living. I had to make a choice between <a href='http://www.consumeralertsystem.com/cas/zx-hclick.php?hid=268' target='_blank'>music</a> and my heart. Which one I'm aprat my life fast as go karts.... Lookin at my peers I couldn't find me an answer. I'm living out my dream but moms dying of Breast Cancer. I had a phone call with her last night she was alright. Said that she needed me home I took the first flight. We sat down poured some coco up in the glass. Remembering the past from the good times to the bad. She looked at me smiled and said son you made it. No matter how much they may hate it, you one of the worlds greatest My cell rang... manager sayin we got a meeting. Couldn't think about leavin had to make sure momma was eating. But I didn't I packed up my bags and hit the studio. If I had of stayed would life be diffrent who really knows. I got call from my manager again that night. Sayin we sold out the garden hit New York first flight. But I'm still thinkin I left my mother would I regret it. Was dark paths headed at the end will tears be shedded. I made 6 figures the concerts going on..... The only connection to my sickly mother is my <a href='http://www.consumeralertsystem.com/cas/zx-hclick.php?hid=121' target='_blank'>cell phone</a>. So I gave it to my manager said answer all calls. If I'm on stage performing tell secruity get me off. Don't know what heppened that day was round 7 or 8. My moms called my phone and my manager told her to wait. I aint even know she called till I got to my flight gate. And when I returned the call doctor said it was to late.......... *The moral of this piece is if I had followed my heart and went home then maybe my moms would still be thier* |

I'll have to give this to OneStepBeyond because he had better imagery. Tony Green had a better approach to the topic, but the wording didn't seem to catch my attention and it seemed to be all monotonous to me. Some things seemed rushed about OSB's piece, like Quote:

Tony Green-Nice drop here.Followed topic nicely.Liked the twist in the storyline at end of the verse too.Flow was off at points(mainly the end)... due to some lines not rhyming.Like this one "I made 6 figures the concert's still going on.... The only connection to my stickly mother is my cell phone" ^^didn't rhyme. But at the beggining..there were some internals n shit that flowed nicely.Not a very complex verse here...but still good.Keep it up. One step beyond-Well...you had a more complex verse with metaphors and such.More direct with the topic and shit.But...i didn't enjoy it as much as I did to Tony Green's one.Flow was your biggest problem.Too many lines didn't rhyme at all.Had a good vocab...so that's good.But it didn't really impact ur verse. v/OSB because i thought he expressed the topic alot more creatively, vividly, imaginatively. i could really get more of a deep, lustful feeling in his; i was pretty much clinging to his verse, wanting to read more.....and thats a good gift to have when writing tony, not that yours wasn't bad, you write with a basic style, and you express only from a single angle....you don't explore your thoughts as much, and provoke any more thought or feelings than you have to......and for me, i really look for topicals to enchant my mind, your story was touching.....but simple, it was nice......but i thought OSB took it, for complexity, creativity, originality, and overall enjoyment v/OSB, props to both, keep up. |
and if you still think im in TE, im not, im friends with Soul Rebel and pretty much everyone in TE........im in The Council, and if you have a problem with honesty and the way i judge topicals, by all means, get it removed....but this was an honest, explained vote, so don't be crying :)
