ayo man..i'm really tryin too get in the game...i am only 16 but i'm not dumb i know i got some skill......what do i need too do?? i mean....i got all my equptment and what not any suggestions on what i could do too make my career a litlte better too where i can make some profit on my cds? i aint sold a cd for a while so any help on this????

long story short, make your music more interesting and/or entertaning. Half of that is gonna come from what you can do on a mic, and the other half is the topics you pick. Just gotta learn to get consistant mixes of those 2 and you're set. Presentation is a big part too. this is more of a marketing thread than it is soley a rap thread.

word.....i mean.i know i got decent material that would sell in my area we are already sellin at Rainy Day Records in Olympia its real cool seein my cd in a store and my face on it lol i have too go in the store and look at it everytime i see it..i told everyone about it and told um where to buy it we sold a few copies like 20 which starting out in my opinino is pretty good.....but theres only 5 songs so we only chargin 4.95 and we gettin about 3.25 from it......stil 3.25 plus how many cds we sell there adds up too a good amout money......

First i would try to perfect my craft, but you should always try and perfect your Craft...

since your Only Sixteen you cant really do clubs so your best bet would to try and do open mics, and sometimes local stations will allow local artist to submit there music....
You must take advantage of all oppurtunities...........

If your tryna make a Cd, you should make it as proffesional as possible, Its just like i girl, you DOnt talk to an ugly bitch....But dont rely on the Looks...ya feel, once you got them with the Cover and shit, then let them listen to a track or 2, if you dont think there interested then go to the next person..dont waiste time....
alot of poeple wont buy your Cd becuase nobody KNows you so your best bet would to hand some out.....

Go to SOme Clubs that have all ages NIghts, and talk to the manager about diong a free show.......Just stay consitant,

Try and try, then once you feel like stopping try some more...You have to Get your name in everyones heads......Also hook up with local talent....Believe me the locals will show you love becuase they are just like you....tryna make it.........

Okay... this is what we're doing out in KC... test your market first... see what the people your going to be selling to like when it comes to you all... and then push it. White kids WILL BUY YOUR CD IF YOU APPEAL TO THEM. As far as getting a deal... shit your on your own... we just local, we don't care if we make it big or not... that parts all you... but as far as selling CDs and mixtapes, that's how you should go.
