I know Nick's dope but he really rushed his verse in this battle, either that or he had writers block. His wording - which is usually on point and makes weak concepts into solid punches - was unusually sloppy. For instance, the links punch has been done before a few times but he could have made it decent, but his wording let him down quite badly. In fact Nick is also renowned for coming with fresher concepts, but this time he didn't seem to be able to formulate many fresh ones. The stable, next to nothing and linx punches were all examples of this. In other words, I've seen Nick drop much better than this and this verse didn't really reflect what he's capable of. On the contrary, John Hensely dropped one of the best verses I've seen from him on this site. His concepts were worded very well and he combined wit with a hard hitting aggresive format which differs from his usual style, and upped the effectiveness of his punches. The slide down the rankings line was dope as fuck and made me laugh. In fact everything except the box and the britney spears punches (which I didn't really like) was fucking solid. In the end he took this battle comfortably, which suprised me as the last time the two battled it was extremely close. V/ John Hensley |

Maybe it wasn't close in the votes but the battle itself was fairly close in the end he only won by a single quotable, and you both had a lot of quotables each so that should consitute as a very close battle.

He heated up basically cause I didn't think the stuff John started with was all that good but Nick cooled off after opening better than John. after John put some lines together he just kinda had more consistant hit's in a row and that won it for him to me. |

Nick Overall ya verse was nice ....decent delivery on punchezI like the nameplay for sure it made ya verse more personal ......and to me it seem like you was caring a little bit more then JH was so thats why my vote went to you in this battle John You Had a nice verse too but to me it seemed like you were a little leanient towards direct punchez but overall your punchez were very nice but not so directed towards nick but directed like this is to any ole person .... I thought Hens got this pretty decisivly. Overall he just hit harder and came with a lot better concepts and execution. I though Fletcher could have put a bit more htought into his wording because I liked concepts like the H Bomb and genital warts but they just didn't have much impact. Hensley on the other hand had some really clever shit such as xmas time, pedo, 20/20 and the closer. Overall, John just hit hell of a lot harder and I was digging his shit a lot more.
