Flash Flood...

The day was at most peaceful, we was kissing outside
Not noticing the rainclouds,piling up in the sky
In our one moment of loving,we left our worries behind
And in that moment, wish I could just press rewind
But then everything moved so fast, it started out to pour
Less then an hour of rain, pushin through our door
Property damage was thorough no way we could stop it
We tried to plug in the radio,but the water flooded our outlets
Suddenly I couldn't describe this feeling of desperation
How we,America,our so powerful,yet taken out by Natural Devestation
Water didn't seem so harmless,perhaps a blessing dropping to earth
It may even be used to save our lives,as it quenches our thirst
A gift from God, I may say, but this day has changed my mind
When now, when we think water is common,as gifts get old with time
The Flash Flood, was unstoppable,nature at its danger peak
Because water, yet now dangerous,lookin peaceful at sea
Not even dangerous, though it corners you least expected
Your lungs,bringing air into the system,is now so hectic
It seems that we've been caught,by a danger that was never there
I don't need to tell a story,because you wouldn't care
Unless it happened to you, we are brought down at any time
Mother Nature,and danger have finally intertwined
Paths were crossed,when they met they finally combined
Maybe, if life was like a VCR,maybe if i could just rewind
Then I would've been prepared,before foolishly making love
With a ho I met on the street,losing my life to myself,not a Flash Flood.
