a problem that i see in hip hop, is the elitest nature of those involved in the ''underground'' genre. Just because you know some names that most people don't, does not make you hip hop, or a part of it. we got a lot of little nerdy white kids behind a computer trying to tell people, what is and isn't hip hop. who is and isn't hip hop. Niggas dickryde Talib Kweli,(not dissing him in this statement) but nas is on his level, and was accepted by mainstream industry. Talib kweli tried to go mainstream in his second album and was rejected. So it makes me wonder who truly is better. Nas is streetpoet till his death and respected not only because he touched the streets, but he is accepted by the mainstream. Talib kweli is one of hip hop's most brilliant, undoubtedly but not better than Nas in my opinion. If he is, why isn't he a legend like nas? why isn't he a legend like Rakim? Rakim's not hot? are you sorry bastards fucking serious? you must not of listened to him, Talib Kweli himself owes rakim, cats that get dickrode by you bastards, owe Rakim, for the influence. you elitest know-nothings are just in a phase where you like hip hop, for now. Next you'll like 50's country music and be telling young red necks that they don't know what real country is.
