Uh...well were im from you gotta go to school...your parents dont have to pay...

And as for college...well..erm..thats the same...but if you 17 the you can get a part time job and still study....as for university..then yes...yoy should pay for your self...once your 18 its your responsibility...

but like i said..any public tuition before the age of 18 is basically free...but you have to get the right grades for college of course...

Oh and i guess you have to pay if you want private tuition...but i guess no one would do that unless your parents were willing to anyway...
