The last of the sun is pulled into the earth as day light ceases to exist
The shadows bring comfort almost impossible to resist
I hope my secret’s safe as long as time assists
‘Cause, Time permits change, but change leads to the abyss
So I stay equipped with the same heat, clip and finger tip
that’s cost me my soul, and cost him the life he lived
Morality is sacrificed to the system that we fight
that’s why I battle in rhythm to stay outa prison tonight
But the guilt is hot on my trail and regret bites at my heels
I stay one step ahead for now, but the out come is real
I’m wanted and known, guilty with out any deals
Cause there’s no one to give up when everybody squeals
Got nothing to do, no where to go, and no one to see
Cause being on the run is lonely, and lonely I’ll be
So here’s to another night of reality, I struggle to grip
As I get ready to enter back into hiding , till the light ceases to exist
Then its back on my way, cause I’m down to the wire
It’s a long road to redemption…….after the shots fired
