pac and biggie? who's the best?

IP: C1FE ABE6

before you go ahead and reply without reading what i have to say, read this:
1. read what i have to say
2. im not trying to make an argument out of this
3. i dont know if somebody already made a thread like this in the past but done be sarcastic with me like i shoulda have known because i didnt
4. dont ask what the point of this thread is

now, a lot of discussion about who's the best has been going on. people say 2 pac is the best. people say b.i.g is the best. some people say that as their opinion and some people say it as their fact. but the fact is that people have different taste in music. i dont like to listen about guns and robberies but i still listen to b.i.g because he appeals to me more. 2pac is on a lyrical level that i don't want to be on yet. he's talkin about politics and the community and things that we're concerned about. i am not concerned about what 2 pac talks about. i love his songs, even tho they are not my type, still only half appeal to me. so who is the best? 2 pac, to me, is an all around rapper. biggie, to me, talks about what he experienced and more. they are not better than eachother to me because they are on 2 different levels, so how can you compare the 2?

just something that was on my mind on my way home from wisconsin. take this into consideration and don't make it into a joke, it is just MY opinion.

thank you

Chris = better battle rapper, better flow, better overall em cee
Tupac = better writer

Better of the two = Chris.

Are the two of them best ever? OF COURSE NOT!

Bigge maybe in top 10 em cees of all time, but Tupac no. (I don't give a fuck about the MTV/BET lists. I'm talking real hip-hop.)

lmao what a idiot...
Pac is number one...greatest hes in the top..Biggie isnt cuz he hasnt done as much work and has lyrics that are typical now...Tupac is way more creative....and talented.....In real hip-hop Tupac is prob one of the greatest if not greatest....if he was still alive hed be the most elevated.....

Brother,

Tupac was a great artist. However, he was just an average em cee. You gotta understand that Tupac had a weak flow. He had good lyrics due to the fact that he was an excellent writer, but his delivery and flow are no match to Chris'. Chris was one of those who was like a machine gun when on the mic. Tupac never had this. Tupac might be the greatest writer in hip-hop, with most influental lyrics, however, he certainly is not the greatest em cee. He never even lived a life of an em cee. Maybe when you get into hip-hop for real, you will undersand.

who is the best rapper can only be anwserd once u define what rap or hip hop is to u.
2day the game has fuced up people minds and confused niggas on what real rap is. But becuz Big and Tupac and other emcees aswell have diffrenet styles of there own. No emcee is really better then the other...Its just what type of music people like n what they are in to....Some choose to listen to commercial rap more then reality rap. But What people 4get is that rap is a forum of poetry it is an art, an talent that people have. But the industry has no longer made it a talent for people. Now Adays anybody can rap becuz not every rapper writes there own lyrics. Now 2 me i think Big was more of a commercial rapper. And wasnt as lyrical wise as Pac. Which to me makes pac an all around better rapper just becuz he had the true talent. Pac was really on his own level. Pac spoke words that made u really sit down and think about that shit. While Big on the other hand wasnt nearly as real with his. Big couldnt get on Pacs level....and right now....no one will ever be on pacs level if they continue with this commercial bullshit....rap to me is just another forum of peotry expressin ya self....just on a more lyrical rhyming pattern.......hip hop is a whole diffrent term....

Pac Had that lyrical skill, which simply made him the best at what he did. but it depends on how u define and see rap and hip hop that will make u choose who was the better emceee

Mizz Undastood was right sayin that hip hop is a different term, yall cant get "rap" and hip hop mixed up.See rap comes from back in the jazz days like a man would holla a female right so dey would call that rappin just like tryin to sound smooth and the way it would flow. 4 instance youd holla at someone by sayin hey let me rap wit cha for a minute. Now hip hop is a culture thats more like a lifestyle. Dont forget the words of krs one "rap is sumthin you do, hiphop is sumthin you live". My bad i know that was way off subject but i hate when people get that shit twisted.

^ word....but not everyone relize that rap and hip hop are 2 diffrent terms.....they put them 2gether to mean the same thing which is why the industry is all fucced up now

I Think That Hip Hop Is A Culture And An Expression.. Tupac Amaru Shakur Personified Hip Hop In Entirley.. Hip Hop Is In The Heart And Pac Had More Heart Than Big.. He Expressed His Poetry Better And Had A Better Voice To Music.. Also, When One Speaks Of Flow And Rhythm, Which Is The Essence Of The Art, Tupac Perfected That Better Than Anyone.. Listen To How He Rhymes To The Beat, When He Drags His Voice Right Along With The Thumps And Melodies.. Biggie Was More Abrupt, And Raped Word For Word And Tried To Stop On Que, But He Just Didn't Become One With The Beat Like Pac.. Also Pac Had A Better Vocab And Better Metas. And When I Say Metas I Don't Mean Punch Lines. Example:

Quote
"they Planted Seeds And They Hatched, Sparking A Flame
Inside My Brain Like A Match, Such A Dirty Game"

Very Deep, Big Couldn't Touch Pac, Man.. Biggie Was Overrated And I Might Barley Put Him In My Top Ten.. He'd Probably Be Number 9, Behind Rakim Or Something..
