On lonely nights I WRITE I WRITE in order to keep myself company which in turn forces my paper to enjoy my pen's company On rainy days I WRITE I WRITE so that the joy that illuminates my soul when I put my pen to the page will sweep dark clouds away On sleepless nights I WRITE I WRITE because the serene scene of seeing me vibe while I scribe soothe's my soul to sleep When I hate I WRITE I WRITE so that the spite I'm feelin will realease itself from my spirit When I love I WRITE I WRITE so that this love that I feel will be portrayed thru pen and page as his ink caressess her paper During times happy and sad I WRITE I WRITE so that my feelings can be conveyed and displayed onto this page which becomes a collage of my emotions When I'm uninspired I WRITE I WRITE with no thoughts fueling my pen's fire giving it the opportunity to write it's own path At all times I WRITE I WRITE at all times so that within these lines the lines of time don't get lost So that the years that seem to pass at warp speed and the seconds that seem to last an eternity are captured with the stroke of my pen I WRITE...FOR I AM A POET Last edited by H-N-I-C : 06-23-05 at 07:39 AM. |

Haha this was dope, so true too, i can relate to this poem as i think others will, i like the set-up of it and how you presented it.Nice vocab,metaphors, this was a true piece, had style and all, and was also universal in the fact that other poets can read it and understand, good shit man..keep dropping.1

True spirit of a poet right here, can definitely feel what you are saying and I love how you divided it into all these different situations and scenes, it just adds something extra to the piece. I totally feel the same way actually, some people ask me: why do you write? And it's not always easy to explain it to someone who doesn't feel the same way but this sums it up!

this was nice, i like how you wrote this, i can relate to this in a way also. this is kind of similar to mines. *Speaking Silently*, its all about poetry and how i write and i think that this is telling me the same message. i like the flow, good wording. really an outstanding piece. 9/10
