The little things can cause you pain,
Like a papercut, or hurtful name,
One isolated, lonely plane,
Caused the proud couple to fall.
A haystack hoarding a shining pin,
The first race in which you failed to win,
Every inferior, minute thing,
Can reduce a grown man to tears.

The elephant flees from the rodent small,
The one time your lover refused to call,
Hurtful memorys that pain to now recall,
Gives way to agony.
The strength behind those sombre eyes,
The beginning steps of this worlds demise,
Healing scars and gashes, forgotten lies,
A tear shed for you.

Something precious, something kept,
When memories are all thats left,
My ring, the result of years of theft,
My heart bleeds behind the bars.

The importance of the little things,
A silver bullet, a wedding ring,
The docile dove in the tree that sings,
