professional sound

i've been making beats for about a year now, and i still can get FL to give a professional quality sound. its like you hear it and you know it was made by someone not working on some real machines and shit. how can i mix my song to give me the sound i'm looking for?

Yo man u aint been usin it for no year if u dont know that. First off, no drum compression without the right plug ins, thats the biggest problem. No sampling. U cant use the FL synths, get yourself a mpc and quit tryin to produce if u dont know nothin. Try logic pro, its the best software, and u still need real protools equipment with that too.

9th wonder uses FL, and he makes some of the hottest beats out. For real. I hate it personally and use different stuff, but if you know what you're doing you can freak the wackest equipment to make the hardest shit. At the same time - you can have a asr-10, a mpc 4000, 2 tech 12's and still make shitty ass beats. 2 cents...
