Limited Edition's Move Review Number One: "War Of The Worlds"
IP:
I am going to be doing movie reviews and the like.
So get ready mu fuckas... Steven Spielberg's
War Of The Worlds Specail Effects: The specail effects in this movie are amazing. Completely believable in every aspect...massive lightning storms, massive, towering three-legged machines that blast the shit out of everything...a ferry tipping over...no doubt about it, this movie's specail effects costed huge on the budget. Score: 25/25 Storyline: This is another cool part about the movie...this is not your typical science fiction movie. It is by the same writer who wrote The Time Machine, and the story is very impressive. Average, present-day humans like us are going about their lives until a freak lightning storm happens in many places all over the world. Many lightning bolts are striking the ground, in many different places. In the center of town, there is a large whole in the ground where a lightning bolt struck. I'm not going to spoil any of the story...you'll have to watch it. The storyline is impressive, a little over mellow dramatic at times, and the ending is blah. An impressive storyline, but it has faults. Score: 20/25 Acting: The acting in this movie is ninety nine percent believable. Tom Cruise is amazing...one of his best acting jobs thus far. He is completely into his character...it's like he actually lives that character's life, and that's the waty it's supposed to be. The young Dakota Fanning of Taken fame, plays Cruise's daughter in this film. She is a very impressive young actress...you can sense the fear that she goes through during this attack from the aliens. Morgan Freeman narrates at the beginning and the end of the film, and you can imagine he does a good job as well. A very impressive cast, and the acting gets the job done. Score: 23/25 Music And Sound: Very dramatic music and realistic sounds top off bringing this film to life. I am not sure who the composer of the music was, I think it might have been John Williams of Star Wars and Harry Potter fame, but I'm not sure. Anyways, the music is perfect for the various scenes of the movie, and the sounds that the giant machines make will send chills down your spine and give you nightmares for nights. Music and sound is perfect. Score: 25/25 Overall: 93/100 A very very good science fiction film. Bring your girl to it if you want to get some hugs out of her, and go just for the thrill the movie gives you. It is amazing. It will have your jaws dropped and your ass at the edge of the seat the entire movie. And a very very important suggestion: DO NOT GO TO THIS MOVIE ON MUSHROOMS. You WILL freak out and die. And that's all. |
