I've heard a few people going on about how this site is dying.

But it aint in actual fact, its like a lot of people say, its getting too herbish, with people not battling just chatting, fuck that shit. i mean i cant really fix that problem.

The voting is another problem, cuz even though the system has changed people are still playing the follow the leader shit, just reading what other people have said and then re-writing it and voting for the same person.

An idea would be keep the polls hidden so the only people who can see who's winning are those who are in the battle themselves. Also, when people post up a vote you could keep all the vote posts hidden until the winning vote is cast.

Yea thats a good idea I think. But I cant see why people cant just say they honestly like a certain persons verse better than they did the others. I can understand the way it is now, but I got a battle going and like 3 of my votes got DQ'd and shit. But its all good.

happened to me yesterday...............

voted on someones battle, took the time to explain the good points and bad points of both verses and shit, u know to explain why i voted for who i voted for...............

ask to return tha favour on my battle cuz ppl be sleepin on it
and the one of them goes and drops like 2 lines in my battle sayin i killed it, i was better so i win. then it got DQ'ed.....its a pain in the ass man, some ppl just cant be bothered to take like 5 or so minutes to drop a decenct explained vote.

I rarelly vote because of the fact that the system is bull. Like for instance somebody has a sick as verse but it has no "multi" or "personal" or "vocab" and the other one does but its doesnt make sense. Who am I going to vote for the cat thats sick or the cat who is trying to rhyme but his skills make no sense. Im voting for the cat who is original with his and keeps it real.

Skill is everything.. If you look at some of the vets verses on this site, take for instance L.I.. He rarly uses multies however his disses are well thought out and are worded really good.

Kids I think can get caught up in writing sick multies and using huge vocabs.. However real battling is about punchlines and flow.. Multies are simply tools to help flow as well as assonance and everything else.

Instead of focusing on getting a more complex verse, you need to focus on making really creative disses that incoperate personals and punchlines.
