Welcome back to RV Spotlight, today we take a look inside the mind of Carsonjetx2. Love him or hate him, he is RV. I got a chance to sit down with one of RV's most controversial figures. The following is our interview.













killbill22: Welcome to Rv Spotlight Carson, thanks for being with us today.
carsonjetX2: u got it ;-)
killbill22: So let me ask you whats up with the name carsonjetx2, sounds like an x-man character that never made it.
carsonjetX2: carsonjet was the original name. it got banned from old rv. so point being i figured i'd come back 2 times as hard
killbill22: oh word, so why were you banned from original?
carsonjetX2: I made a racial sig posing "the end" the administrator as "hitler". point being that he was dictating the site. He didn't like it I guess.
killbill22: i guess you can understand how some people might take that as offensive though?
carsonjetX2: sure. I can. It wan't pointed in a racial way, more of a political way. And that was just a basic cover up for the real reason of bein banned
killbill22: which was?
carsonjetX2: telling, The End, Sureal, and Chrit to "fuck off".
carsonjetX2: in may forms
carsonjetX2: many*
killbill22: gotcha, so you got your own legacy in audio, people look at you as one of the people who really kept the audio section going in the beginning, how do you feel about that?
carsonjetX2: I agree to a degree. At one time I had alot of battles, and brought text heads over. Now I think there are other's that have a larger impact on our audio than I do.
killbill22: Okay i wouldnt be doing my job if i didnt ask, whats up with all the robot voices on audio, i mean you use some crazy voice effects on your audio?
carsonjetX2: I'll be honest now. I use hardly any effects on my voice. I used to use a ton. But I haven't since my Jpoll Battle, and that was my 4th audio battle. mostly what i do is filter my voice, wich extracts click's/pop/and hiss. Thats it. And maybe a lil double over once in a while
killbill22: so its safe to say we'll never hear carsonjet's voice acapella no filter huh,. ha ha
carsonjetX2: I could. but the quality would be horrible. All my audio is recorded off of a Socom Navy Seal Ps2 Headest Mic.
killbill22: whoa, that sounds like some serious equipment. so carson you know that there are alot of people out there that don't like you, what do you have to say to them?
carsonjetX2: basicly. Thanks. with out the hate, I'd have nothing to vent about. My best audio'sare diss's. LK's Empire's Vendetta's and Village Pimp's. If it wasn't for them. I would have no feul. I mean What is a rich 20 yr old white boy gonna rap about?
killbill22: great segway, i was just about to ask you, rich, whiteboy, suburbs, how does that fit in with the hip hop culture?
carsonjetX2: It doesnt' And here's the truth. I didn't even like rap till bout 3 or 4 years ago. I started rappin after watchin the dvd segments of try-outs for 8-mile. The only reason I do it in a sense is to be better than people who live for it. Because its nothing to me.
carsonjetX2: In a way though....It has become summin to me tho
killbill22: Nothing to you? what do you mean
carsonjetX2: It's just....I see these white boy's. The look like complete morons. Oversized shirts...Pants hangin off there ass. No curve in there hats. And It makes me feel better to know that i have a skill they want so bad.
carsonjetX2: And i dont have to act like " say a wigger"
killbill22: Hip hop is a culture, like krs one said, hip hop isnt something you do, its something you live.
carsonjetX2: well, maybe to mr. KRS, but to jet, its summin I do.
killbill22: alrighteey, whats up with the guns you had in your avy awhile back, real or fake, and for what purpose.
carsonjetX2: guns were real, no bullet's, saftey's on. it was an honest to god joke. What I was tryin to do was in a way "show how net folk act silly". It was really strait clownish.
killbill22: you heard it hear first carsonjetx2= Gangsta, ha ha

good interview....I am surprised carson doesn't put more effects on his voice but I understand why now...a PS2 headset is gonna produce shitty vocals without some ill mixing..I'd say carson you should try EQing your voice more instead of filter so much cuz the filter gives ya vocals a layered sound....just my 2 cents...but great job vango
