sitting in the darkness at 7:15 PM on a Sunday,
that’s god’s day…but outside I hear the gunplay, listen to the birds and the whining windy afternoon, my face hot because my dreams focused on you, I cant seem to shake this feeling that im not alone, in my own home im afraid…gotta act completely grown, my fears touch the spine and tingles send shivers, fingertips finding my hand and your lips quiver, pulls me from the form-fitting recliner I occupy, why try to hide the signs…you know I want to cry, looking into the mirror looming over the kitchen sink, I can feel my own eyes prying and I try not to think, fall back to the days before she knew what was going on, the green grass held promise when I mowed the lawn, found the meaning of true life in those fateful three words, I love you…that mouth kisses air as you clean the herbs, cooking up a storm I can smell Sicily in the air, reminding me of home and how my mother resides there, wishing I knew exactly what to speak to your ears, hiding in the red hair that’s endeavoring to steal your tears, why is it that we both cry as the sky blues outside, wishing I could make you see what im feeling and why, but now it’s a lost cause…when I gaze into that mirror again, I see the son I never met…lost my reflection at 6:34 PM… once again. goodluck. quick key before bed. |

I wander through the valley deciding my mind Why do people act like there's nothing behind? Are they afraid of the truth and hide behind lies, Or are they just trying to pick a winning side? I try to hold my spot till death comes for me, Until then I hold the door open so some can be free. Cuz this door is something, people need to look at, See themselves as they dress with red or blue black gat. Fat and overweight claiming hood mind and structure, But when someone confronts em, their ego ruptures. Spills out their brains and thoughts so all can see, Then they wake up and claim it was all a dream. Hook: For this door is something for everyone to look at, Back in time to see where white people didn't act black. It's a shame to know how life is so judgemental now a days, Anyone can get signed, you just have to be a gangsta rapper today. A hallway leads to the beginning of something amazing, Describing it is nothing and it doesn't give to aging. My job isn't always easy, but the true see what is for what it is, Though inside isn't always clear for those in the biz. It is something that, I think the world needs to see, Believe in the life that God gave to us and praise his glory, A story as old as time, but not something you can say in rhymes, Or else people say "its boring me" and turn to 50 cent lines. Come down my friend, cuz I hold the door open for you, Are you afraid? Well, you have no choice so what are you gonna do? Your turn is now, look into this mirror and tell me what you see, Is it a white boy with red hair and a face full of acne? Or is it a black man with a blue bandana and a NBA hat on, You see nothing? werd.................. nice battle, i thought someone might come with some vampire wordplay in it...... but meh, i think that Soul dropped really really weak until the last bar that really brought the whole thing to gether, but u were kinda weak until than...... i dont really like the hook in revs it should flow and rhyme alil better to be a hook but u get ur point across....... thisll be a toughy i think
