If an emcee got on the mic and spit a rhyme about how he sayy............sells crack or something, that in it self isn't enough to charge anyone with anythin, BUT!!! Believe it or not, there is now a veeerrrrrry small sub division of the FBI that listens to the tracks of mainstream emcees and does a 'soft investigation' which means they actually issue an agent to look into the validity of such statements. They'll do a tax claims check, view your credit history (almost liek an IRS issued audit would) and big purchases and things liek that and look for unclaimed income that could point to narcotics sales. If they find anything, they do an official investigation which could include phone taps, raids with warrants, search and seizure, etc. Yeah, this is the age we live in. The gov't dosen't play man. Tell a friend.


Oh BTW, before I forget again, this is exactly how rapper John Forté that used to run alongside the fugees got popped. Intercepted a deliv at an airport if I remember correctly of a large amount of crack.

I read it once before in a book about the music industry and I brought it up because Ox had mentioned something about it. Matter fact, it said that both biggie AND pac were under such an investigation at the time of their deaths. Even some members of Wu ended up getting investigated for illegal shit.
