How come blacks and other races in american need to be called "african american" or "asian american" if we never been there? Whites are simply called americans despite them not being native here either. How come we have to feel so alienated I just wanna be called american. Is that so wrong =/

Actually, i've taken a class about this in college. The correct term to be used is "people of African Descent" or "people of asian descent" for the simple reason that many jamacians and such that live in the United States, do not want to be considered African American if they are not originally from here. i cant think of the the word to describe it but everyone should be treated the same no matter what colour and everyone should get the same rights as everyone else

for example in england its surrounded by paki's, n they get more rights than we do to our country if u get what i mean
