Chasing emotions with the ocean as I swallow my pride
Follow this life… then maybe you would start to believe
That with you, I could breathe with my heart on my sleeve
The art that’s in me can’t be expressed in this muted mood
Painting your Chocolate complexion- flavored beautiful
A slave to your lips eucharist, a gripped licorice kiss
How I savored its twist and prayed it would stay for a bit
Laying amidst this painful solitude, I watch the sun bloom
Remembering all the days I should’ve said I love you
... and I still do.
