Repeating his name has garnered rapper Mike Jones a platinum plaque for his commercial debut, Who Is Mike Jones?. The Houston native’s album came out about two months ago and he’s been a fixture on the charts.

"It feels good, I'm blessed," Jones said in a statement. "Thanks to God and my fans, I'm successful. This is a dream come true, I've been working on getting to this level for 4 years now, so, to me, it didn't happen over night. I've been grinding for a while which makes landing at the top of the charts and going platinum sweeter. If you don't grind, you don't shine."

As we know now, Mike Jones’ grandmother provided him with his entire marketing plan, which included repeating his name. Mike Jones has a new song called "Back Then.”

Nah, Mike Jones album is pretty good. His flow is ight. He's unique, he just sounds stupid. He not the greatest lyrics's, but I give tha man props. I actually contributed to his album going platinum, and I don't regret it. I bought 2, one for me, and one for my homie. Shit's descent, and I already put alot of people in SAC on it. I just started listening to it. As long as he selling more than Chingy or wackass Nelly, he str8.
