ok, I didnt' think I needed to point this out, but this is a rap board. The music of choice is rap here and the thread is asking about RAPPING on a beat. there's never been a rap beat in anything but 4/4ths, (or 4 beats).


so how would I be wrong saying a bar is 4/4ths if 4/4ths is the structure ALL rap beats use?? matter of fact, 4/4ths is the structure that nearly every class of music I can think of uses, short of MAYBE classical music.

so once again man, exactly what are you arguing about? what are you trying to prove, something about a beat no one will ever use like it's gonna affect a rappers definition of a "bar"?
