Nothing wrong with starting on the net.

The people who start on the net generally are more about lyrics and knowledge because they do everything themselves. They don't go to studios to record, they don't have people battling them in the streets, they record in their room on a stolen program.

Where as, like OMB said, most people who start rapping on the streets don't know how to record, EQ, mix, or anything else their songs. They just write the songs and record them, they have no idea what to do after that.

So dependent wise, people with more knowledge do better because they don't have to rely on some label and pay them to mix their songs, where as the street rappers have to rely on the labels because they know nothing about it anyway.

I think there are too many people trying to be rappers now days. People buy mics and shit and think they rappers. But, if you not making music that's meaningful and can touch someone life who been thru the same struggles as you, then you are just having fun for nothing. As for what OMB said, about the difference between people starting on the net, I understand that, but I don't think its true. It don't matter if you start rapping on the net or off the net, if you have meaningful lyrics that are nice and not simple, thats not because you started on the internet. Good rappers learn from good rappers, and their lyrics come from experience and what they been through and what they grew up on. Yadidmean

You guys misunderstand what im saying... I never said one was better than the other, people are only better than other people from natural ability... How they start makes no difference, in the end they will reach the same plateau.

And M Eazy, just because cunts arent selling records or signed doesnt mean they are not a rapper. If you rap, you are a rapper. Doesnt matter how good or bad you are.

And you're telling me because? I never said that...

To break down my comment, since it probably was misunderstood. I was saying how people get a mic now days and call themselves rappers, but never did anything in their lives. They just rhyme words...they call themselves rappers, but don't speak meaningful shit.

Making a track and recording it is too easy these days..Everyone has a mic...

There's no logic to that M-Eazy..just because they haven't been through "Shit" doesnt not make them a rapper, it just makes them a different kind.
