The rapper Cassidy, who is charged with the murder of a 22 year old, has been denied bail in the case and will appear at a Philadelphia court tomorrow.

The case will determine whether or not the rapper should stay in jail until he goes to trial. This decision will be made based on evidence against the rapper. According to previous BET.com reports, Cassidy contributed to the death of Desmond Hawkins, who was sitting in a parked car with two other men. After a verbal fight on April 15, Cassidy and two accomplices allegedly shot up the car with the men in it. Cassidy’s lawyer Michael Giampietro proclaimed his client innocent “He wasn't involved in the shooting.”

According to MTV.com, Cassidy (real name Barry Reese) will remain in a medium security prison until trial or unless a judge rules otherwise. He’s charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and other infractions related to weapons. He’s got an album, I’m A Hustler, due on June 28.
