Def Jam Enterprises and Electronic Arts have renewed a long-term, exclusive deal to produce a number of new video game titles. The two corporations have already released a pair of titles, “Def Jam Vendetta” and “Def Jam Fight for New York.” In the games, players assume the identity of various musical artists and fight it out with other gamers. “Def Jam 3” is the next installment being developed in EA’s Chicago office.

Warner Music executive Kevin Liles, who is also the CEO of Def Jam Enterprises, expressed excitement about the deal. “The next generation platform opens unlimited possibilities in gaming,” Liles said in a statement. “We are confident that, along with EA, we will guarantee ground-breaking titles.”
