black album was hugely dissapointing...given the hype, but even with that aside judging the cd from a puerlely lyrical persepctive, it was no where near his best...he shows the most expierience on the cd as he should, given that he's now amogn a growing group of rap artists who are pushing middle age...but it lacks the raw intensity and unquenchable eagerness and uncontainable energy that he brought to a pleasing pinnacle in the Reasonable Doubt...You have to judge cds in perspective though...right now im sick and tired of the black album..but in 5 years, who knows...it may rise in staus in my judgement...only time will tell which cd will go down as his greatest, or mayeb he hasbetter ones to come..we have to see as the industry and the artists evolve
