hip hops future is in our hands, where are we going to take it?

IP: 047D 3076

ive been thinking recently about hip hop as a music from its roots to its current commercialism, from block partys and africa bambata taking his black spades gang off the streets to sort beef out on the mic instead of by weaponry to the gangsta culture which has now lost its message and is nothing more than another commercial spin to sell.its undoubted now that hip hop is mainly industry controlled and has strayed into the territory of whatever sells,a million wannabes jump on the bandwagon insulting anyone who truly loves it.i really do reackon that if old skool rhyming suddenly became excessively popular again, how many gangsta rappers would change their colours and styles?smart for business sense maybe but still just a commercial overflux.i question this,is rap music so far out of our hands now that we cant control what we want to rhyme about.im fully aware its the way it is and nothing can change the way commercialism and the industry works, but i want real honesty with these answers.what are we in this for?i even want to know fakers reasons too,why honestly do you front to rhyme?i'll start it off,i will honestly say that ive been through periods of faking with rhymes myself, because i wanted to rap but i wanted a style that would be profitable, thats how easily influenced i was.im seeing sense now and im progressing slowly with my own style which im growing with as im shedding bad skin from my previous attempts to get into the game, and i'll happily admit i feel so ridiculous looking back on it.sorry for going on,but it leads me to one last question.if we all grew into our own styles like im doing currently then wouldnt fakes be reduced and the future of hip hop be richer instead of following trends?let me know what you think....

yeah,it is fake.Niggas all bout shooting each other and shit. The 1st. to come to mind,is 50 cent.Rap is not all bout killing and shit.We all know 50 is not gonna kill JA,so wtf?If they both rap battled,it would be way better.I wish rap battling was more popular. It's not used very much. Some people who like rap, don't even know rap battling exicts. Not even 8Mile could save it.lol.I want to take rap somewhere away from killing and put more emphasis on rap battling. It's better than fighting and a lot more fun.I agree with you Burty.100%.

Yo i got to say that really the only way that we can speak our mind freely on record
is with an underground record and in some cases no even that! What happend to freedom of speech i know that we can say what we want but can we say what we want on an industry record HELL NO they controle what happends and who you are, shit for all we know eminem could be fake! we just dont know who industry rappers are any more and thats the sad thing. I believe that hip hop is changing for the better
and soon we just might see some poetic shit at the top of the charts...cause lets face it gangsta rap is almost dead i mean theres like a vibe in the air thats hinting that people are tired of hearing about dudes gettin shot up and shit (hence the war).
I am a firm believer in the fact that history repets it self for instance.....
Pearl harbor=9/11 and soon there will be shit goin on like the sixtees when nam. was going on and the draft and shit. Bottomline hip hop will change and then the Industry will fallow its just all a matter of time!

We gotta take it away from, I sold drugs, fucked madd hoes, Brought million dollar everything, and shot a few niggaz in the head, and bring it to conscious rap with some substance to it. Basically shun what the industry and the world at large deems as "good" hip-hop.
