I record on my desktop computer. I also do all the shti I need to do on the internet with it, and then I keep my laptop seperate for work.

yeah, i use head phone and i put a sock on the mic and with my old songs i used one of those pop filters, but i lost it and didn't think it mattered that much... but i do all that is on in that link

yo to be real with ya man if you have a $10 mic, you can pretty much forget making quality, or sonically accurate, tracks. just flat out impossible and there's only so much blood you're gonna get out of a rock

more high end mics bring out things in your voice that a shitty $100 and down mic can't even show you

just understand that you're recording on what's essentially a toy and learn as much as you can from it. don't expect miracles.
