Anyway...if its a song made recently i think its impossible to do,with the way songs are mixed down these days....signed artists just get the beat without vocals cos its possible for them....i heard that in older kinda songs like from the 80's its possible to do it and get a decent result...but not with modern day tracks...

You can it depends on the song...I wanted to learn this too and i searched constantly on google...I finally got this site and a program that does it for you but you have to do a couple of things and it had a tutorial and everything, but it said there was different types of ways it could be recorded in the studio...i forgot the ways but one way it was easy to take off the vocals and the other it was hard...both the songs i wanted for the instrumentals were the hard way so basically I just got the vocals to be very very low but it wasnt good enough...so in the end its basically how it was recorded in the studio but thats if you get the free bullshit programs online...if you get the shit outspoken said then that'll be better i guess =/

i remember i had this program once that did it... i forgot tha name of it, but it kinda distorts the beat when you take out the vocals.. but yea idiot gear is a sick song... logic is sickness the diablos beat is sicknes... i dunno look up a program or sumn man.. but even then tha beat is gonna be distorted...
