I've had one cavity back when I was chewing gum everyday at school one year. At my last dentist visit, the hygienist was like you got some teeth staining. I don't drink tea, coffee, cola, or smoke, so I suspect it might have to do with drinking apple juice. The polishing with the gritty toothpaste stuff got rid of most of it though. Everybody hates going to the dentist and end up putting it off for years, which leads to more problems from plaque building up. The last time I went, I just had them schedule the next appointment then rather than me making it 6 months later because the last time I did that, I put it off for a year.

i once made the mistake of having a filling put in my tooth without having the surrounding gum injected with that local anaesthetic stuff and boy did i wish i hadn't. the dentist had to make the hole in my tooth larger so that involved drilling, more drilling, and, did i mention? a WHOLE load of drilling. then there was some thin drill thing they used which kept on hitting the nerve in my tooth. the whole right side of my face was hurting like hell. but i survived.................
any of you ever had work done on your teeth without having it numbed either? |
