listen, i just find it pathetic how people act like an award on a forum gives them some kind of recognisable status that actually matters in the industry.

ask ANYBODY involved in the industry.... if they ask you what you have won or acheived with your music and you say to them "i won so n so award on rapverse.com forum *insert however many times*" they will just laugh. it means absolutely nothing.... the only place the award has ANY kind of substance, is on the forum on which it has been won.

the reason im talking about this and comparing it to the industry is because tha q on several occasions infact more than several, that he wants to start pushing his music out, doing shows, try and get contacts e.t.c.

so instead of worrying about these dumb awards and trying to prove something with them, hed be a whole load better off just taking it and thats it, and worrying about getting live performances under his belt, doing real competitions away from the net or ones on the net that will be accepted by the people he needs to get contacts with.

the net might be the FUTURE... but it isnt the present. plain and simple.

and if you didnt care about my opinion, you wouldnt have spent so much time writing as much about it as you did.

yes there are people on here that have real talent(a VERY select few) but i rarely see them get the recognition for it on here... all i see every time is the same old buddy system that you see on most awards on most forums.

seriously kid, dont try and school me on how the industry works, what s and isnt accepted e.t.c because i guarantee you i know more about it than you will ever know.

One: He's not spending time trying to win awards, because he's making the song but he's not exactly going around his neighborhood campaigning for people to vote for him.
Two: I didn't take long to write, and you wrote back an equally long responswe. I've taken Keyboarding for years and write full-length novels. It took me a fraction of the time to write my post than you to write yours.
Three: Did I ever fucking say anything about the industry? How about you stop putting words in my mouth, and maybe take the dick out of yous, leady? You rapping god you. Did I claim that it'd be a plus for him to approach a producer and say it? Did I mention the industry AT ALL or claim to know about the industry? I don't think so. It'll get him more views on the Net, and guess what, advice on how to work on your rapping on the net is just as good as in real life (excluding with the industry).
Four: Seriously 'kid', stop acting like I'm even talking about your precious industry. How about you take your own advice, stop posting on a site where you say about everything is worthless, degrade people and the things they spend time doing so a person gets more views, etc.

at the end of the day, we all have opinions, these opinions are based on what we know, what we do and our perspective on things. the way i look at audio heads on forums is(mainly the talented ones), as potential MC's to start slowly making a name in the real world, so i start treating them as such... this also depends on what they want, if they say they wanna get out into the scene, then im going to tell them straight, the net awards they brag about mean jack shit, so quit bragging about them cos its gonna cause 1 of the following to happen 1) u tell a possible label or promoter or w/e u hav won forum awards as an achievement and be concidered a joke.. 2) cats out in the industry are gonna rip u in a big way for taking the net awards so seriously or 3) ur gonna let these awards blow ur ego up and get hurt even more when/if u fail to make it anyway and constantly question urself "why do i get a rep online but dissed offline??? why win them awards if im so shit???"

its creating high expectations of himself that u should NEVER have, just go out, do the best u can, dont aim at a particular status, just go out, work, get sumwhere, THEN u try for the next leve, then the next, n keep going untill u can tell thats as good as its gonna get and just keep it at that as long as u can.

when i say u im not actually meaning you in particular before u say anything about that.

ya see, theres a difference between the net and the real world, and anybody doin shit away from the net will tell u the same thing im about to tell you.

most kids online wont do ANYTHING offline despite their status online.... for example.

the only people who i concider doing well that come from the net, are jin, but even his album flopped and warbux who is getting songs on ps2, xbox e.t.c games released globally aswell as other stuff.

but the arguments u hold dont change the fact, the award means jack shit anywhere else other than the forum its won on.
