you know that water washes the liquid filter called your liver right? what medium do you think your body uses to dispell liquids out of your liver?? here's a hint. it's not saw dust. I mean...i'm sure you know that the liver is part of your metabolism (aka, your body's processing system) and is directly sped up by water, right?
and despite the fact that every liver is different, how the hell could you quantify a "gram of alcohol" when every alcohol has a different specific gravity??? that's like saying "a gram of oil" when 5w-30 has a lower spec grav than 50w. or "a gram of water" when distilled water has a lower spec gravity than tap water. shit, or even "a gram of gasoline" when 87oct has a lower spec grav than 115!!

wtf are you talking about specific gravity for? (because you want to sound smart, when in reality, this discussion has nothing to do with specific gravity.) Alcohol served in alcoholic beverages is ethyl alcohol aka ethanol, which always has the same specific gravity. Since we were talking about ethanol (the name for alcohol in alcoholic beverages) throughout this thread, one would assume you would realize I was talking about ten grams of ethanol. Therefore ten grams of it will always be the same amount.

And no, you are completely wrong about the liver, no matter how many uninformed kids on this site agree or disagree. Drinking a lot of water will only dilute the alcohol, it will not remove it from the bloodstream, and it will not get the alcohol out of your system more quickly. the only thing that will do that is time. Studies have been done where differing variables were controlled such as respiratory rate and other variables, and it was maintained that the liver can only process alcohol at a fixed rate, regardless of what variables you manipulate. I'd love for anyone to get a medical website that agrees with your opinion.
