^yeah man, ebircs definitely did add something to the discussion and he's certainly right. if you want an edge in this business you're gonna have to come heavy. lightweights fall to the wayside.

and yeah merk, i know what its like i was young and impatient too. I know you're in a rush to make money but when your stuff doesn't look pro what money are you gonna make? add to that potential future clients are gonna remember what it was like when you premiered and say "damn this is the chick with the amateur loooking work" and turn away, so in your rush to make money, you actually LOST money. to get back on track to MAKE money, you can rent a digital camera, or "rent" it the hood way, buy it and return it. walmart'll let you do it with no questions asked.

and if you gotta err on the side of flashy and gaudy or plain jane and clean, choose plain jane and clean. besides, what do you want people to look at, the myspace, or the pictures?

i had a rule of thumb i made just because of situations like this and its "there's only one way to do something, and that's the right way. to do something any other way than the right way is a waste of resources". and you can basically summarize this by saying "if its not going to get you where you need to get, what's the point?"

crazy how this parallells so perfectly with sound quality.
